Chapter 3

Kameron POV

I wake up to my alarm screaming at me. I'm getting ready to throw your ass at the wall....but your my phone I think to myself. I get up and unwrap my wrist and take my pain pill. I go over to my bathroom and brush my teeth. After I brush my teeth I open my door quietly and see my dads not home. I go to the kitchen and make waffels. I make 1 for myself and 2 for my dad. I know I shouldnt make him food or do anything for him, but he's still my dad and I love him....most of the time.

I eat my breakfast.

I go back upstairs in my room and pick out my outfit. I decide to at least look decent. I pick out black spandex leggings and a croped red sweater. I put my hair into a half messy ponytail and hairspray it a little. I brush my teeth again, do my makeup grab my stuff and my key then walk out the door locking it behind me.

I start walking as I here footsteps behind me. I turn around and see a fellow nerd that goes to my school named Ava she's actually really nice and pretty.

"Hey Ava" I say
"Me" she ask confused and looks around
"Yeah" I say more like a question
"Oh hi sorry I'm just not used to having pretty popular girls talk to me" she says and pushes up her glasses
"I'm not popular or pretty" I say walk with her
"No you are really pretty" she says
"Well thank you your really pretty too" I say she smiles at me
"Well you better get going I don't want the boys picking on you for hanging out with me but here's my number and we can go shopping sometime " I say and hand her my number
"Thanks your my only real friend" she says and walks away

That made me smile to myself.

At school

I finally made it to school. I sigh and walk in everybody starts to whisper stuff. You know that's the worst feeling in the world, when you know someone is talking shit about you and there right in front of you.... Laughing and pointing.

I make my way to my locker as someone trips me. I look up and see the boys. Cameron's there too.

Cameron gasp and helps me up.

"What are you doing Cam" Nash ask

Cameron doesn't answer he intertwines our fingers and pulls me to my locker leaving everyone around us looking  shocked and dumbfounded.

"Wtf Cameron" I say and yank my hand out of his
"What" he ask confused
"There not gonna be your friend if you try and protect me" I say
"I don't care" he says
"No Cameron you need to care you can't lose your popularity cause of me I'm not worth it go back to them and idk make up a excuse as too why you helped me" I say
"No I wanna be with you" he says it brings blush to my face but I hide it
"No I want the best for you and if that means you have to not be friends with me anymore then so be" I say
"Kam stop" he says
"Cameron no go I don't want to be the reason you lose your friends" I say and lightly shove him away
"Kameron look at me" he says I just continue stairing at the lockers with my hair covering my face
"Kameron" he says I still don't look
"Kameron please" he begs
"Go please" I say quite he sighs and walks away

A few tears slip my eyes as I open my locker and clean myself up. I shove my backpack in my locker and grab my books and journals, then slam my locker shut with a sigh. I walk to my home room witch is art. Art is fun I like it.

"Kameron" I hear a small voice say my name
I look around and see Ava smiling at me.
"Oh hey Ava I didn't know you where in this class" I say and sit to the only desk next to her
"Yeah no one ever notices me" she says with a small smile
"Don't worry the same thing happens to me" I say
"Oh look the slut found a friend" I here Taylor say as he walks up to mine and Ava's desk
I just stair at the floor.
"The nerd" Taylor finishes
"Leave her alone" I say
"What was that skank" he ask
"Leave her alone" I say and look him in the eyes. He had a soft look in his eyes as soon as I look at him but once he looks back at me he turns it to anger.
"Extra hard beating for you today" he says
"Alright not like it gets any softer" I say sassy
"Fucking bitch" he mudder's under his breath as he walks away
"That's why we shouldn't hang out" I tell Ava
"Its okay" she says
"Do you wanna go shopping later" she ask me
"Sure that would be great" I say
"Okay I can drive us" Ava says
"Okay" I say

At lunch

The sad thing about lunch is I have no friends here. I have B lunch and Ava has D lunch sadly. But I got lunch with Cameron.... Not like that will help anything/ anyone.

I feel something sting on my neck. I touch the back on my neck and feel mashed potatoes. Hot mashed potatoes. I push them off my neck and onto the floor walking out of the cafeteria. I walk home and don't even think about school.

At home

I unlock my house door and see my dad watching TV.
"Hey honey" he says
"D-dad" I ask he turns to me
"What" he ask not meanly or rude
"W-whats going o-on" I choke on my words
"Iv stopped drinking and got a full body cleaning that got all the alcohol out of my body... I really want the best for you Kameron and I'm sorry for the way I've treated you. I was drunk and high. I still smoke but only cigars I'm trying to stop but its just something you can't get rid of. Kameron I really do love you I'm so so so sorry" he says
"Its umm its okay" I say confused
"Wait..... Aren't you home early" he says
"Yeah......" I trail off
"Alright" he says and turns back to the TV. He's like my old dad. I like him way better this was even if he smokes.
He's actually like my dad now.
"Well I'll be in my room" I say and grab a banana
"Okay honey love you" he says I nodd and run up the stairs to my room

I look I'm my mirror.

"What. The. Fuck" I say out loud to myself

I text Ava and tell her that we have to go shopping tomorrow cause of family problems.

I shower brush my teeth and don't even bother eating dinner I'm not really that hungry. I walk back downstairs and see my dad smoking a cigar.

"Hey dad" I say
"Hey sweets" he says while sitting up putting out his cigar
"So what did you do today" I ask him trying to make conversation
"Well I got my body cleaned out and fresh" he says with a small laugh
"That's good" I say and smile
"Your so beautiful" he says and pulls me into a hug
"Thank you dad" I say and hug back
"I have this friend that is interested in taking your pictures for a wet seal and Hollister model"he says well that escalated quickly
"Uhh I don't know" I say and think about all the stuff the boys have said about me
"Well let's just give it a try tomorrow" he say
"Alright" I sigh

I go back up to my room and lay on my bed.

Even though its only 5:45 I'm gonna go to bed. I pull my covers over my head and slowly drift off to sleep......
