FLIPSIDE: A series of AD | MD one-shots

For this one-shot, I decided to challenge myself to only use dialogues all throughout. I hope I do it justice. :) Also, dedicated to the PEX housemates who inspired this idea. At least kahit dito sa one-shot, magkatotoo yung gusto nating mangyari. :)

"Maine, lapit na magstart ang press con, kanina ka pa sa phone mo. Sino katext mo ha? Ha? Kaw ha! Respeto naman oh!"

"Shit RJ, shit."

"Uy joke lang yung selos ko!"

"Oh my god."

"Meng, okay ka lang? What's wrong?"

"Have you gone online recently? Did you go on Twitter na? Instagram? Facebook? Have you checked your notifs? Oh god, sometimes I'm so stupid."

"No, hindi pa. Hindi ko pa nga nahahawakan ulit phone ko after kita sinundo sa condo mo eh. Bakit may nang-aaway nanaman sayo?"

"No, no, not that. Ah shucks, patay tayo."

"Maine, easy lang. Dami press sa harap. Hinga, hinga."

*inhale, exhale*

"Okay, tell me what happened."

"Remember last night I was taking selfies while we were driving along NLEX?"

"Ah, oo. You said you were updating your Snapchat. Tapos naubusan ka pa ng batt before you posted the last one, yung may corny na joke. Buti na lang Meng, baka mainis lang mga followers mo."

"Wag ka nga RJ, this is serious! I'm not kidding."

"Oh easy, nagbibiro lang. Tapos?"

"I thought that the inside of your car was dark enough, para hindi halata na you were driving in the background. Eh shucks I forgot that I asked you to turn on the light kasi di pala kita face ko!"

"Okay...?"

"RJ! Nahagip pala ng Snap ko yung braso at kamay mo sa manibela! Tingnan mo trending ngayon sa Twitter: 'BRASO NI ALDEN'!"

"Huh? Eh pa'no nalaman ng mga tao na braso ko yun? Pwede naman braso ng ibang tao, braso ng driver mo, or braso ni Dean?"

"Sus yung ALDUB nation pa! Kahit na ilang oras nang deleted yung snap, sandamakmak na screenshots na kinuha nila. Matindi pa mag-SOCO mga yun. Tingnan mo pa 'to, they even edited the photo and changed the brightness para makita mukha mo at yung isang braso na may watch at rosary mo!"

"...oo nga ano. Ano ba yang itsura ko dito, sobrang seryoso!"

"RJ! Seriously, yan lang concern mo?"

"Oo mukha akong natalo sa lotto. Ikaw ang ganda mo parin, ang laki pa ng ngiti mo."

"RICHARD, NAHULI NA TAYO!"

"O, tapos?"

"Anong o, tapos? Ugh, this is my fault. I'm so sorry RJ."

"Sorry for what Maine? Wala ka namang  ginawang kasalanan sa akin."

"Dahil sa kaka-Snapchat ko tingnan mo, nalaman na ng buong nasyon na nagkikita tayo outside of work."

"...okay?"

"And syempre they probably have all sorts of theories and scenarios in their heads! Baka nga may mga equations pa yan sila to connect things together. See, look at this tweet, accusing me pa of cheating on you kasi that braso is not your braso. Ugh! Kakaloka. What have I done?"

"Maine, relax."

"And I'm pretty sure the press in front of us knows na. Look they're all on their phones!  They're probably on Twitter reading the tweets and the hashtags. I won't be surprised if one of them asks about it later. Sorry talaga, RJ."

"Eh wala, nangyari na Maine eh. You don't have to say sorry. Ako dapat magsosorry sayo, for putting you in this position. You have no idea how much I want us to be an ordinary couple, without so many eyes watching our every move. Di mo lang alam ilang beses ko nang gustong magpost ng selfies natin, or yung mga stolen shots mo na nasa phone ko."

"RJ..."

"Maine, I'm sorry you're dating someone like Alden Richards."

"Hey, no, don't be sorry okay? Don't put the blame on yourself. It was my fault, I should be extra, extra careful next time. I know we both said we wanted to keep things private, especially our late night drives. Because more than our ninja dates, it's those drives that I love the most and I want those to be between us two lang."

"I know. And I love them just as much as you do. But this happened na, so stop worrying okay? All is well."

"Okay, sige na nga. Sorry, you know my mood swings. Thank you for being patient ha."

"Always for you, Maine. Always."

"Pakitago na lang nitong phone ko RJ baka kung ano pa ang makita ko sa Twitter."

Hi good afternoon, Alden, Maine! Question lang from one of your Twitter followers, from the ALDUB MAIDEN PEX Chapter. There are pictures now circulating on Twitter na magkasama kayo kagabi, I'm not sure if you've seen these na. Can you comment on this? 

"Hi po, thank you for that question. Ako na po sasagot for Maine and I. Siguro uulitin ko lang po yung sinabi ko a few weeks back on Eat Bulaga, that kung ano pong nakikita niyo whether on Eat Bulaga and outside of work, yun na po yun. Kumbaga, what you see is what you get sa amin ni Maine."
