It was the first day of seventh grade. The year where everything would change. I walked in and already I was feeling unwanted. I knew that this year was going to be hell. I walked into my homeroom and sat at one of the tables. My friend Paige was in there so I was a little bit happier. My teacher Mrs. Stevens started talking to everyone. "Hello everyone. I hope you enjoyed your summer. Now, let's get down to business. First who wants to do lunch?" Paige volunteered. After she finished Mrs. Stevens had us write a paragraph about our summer. Finally homeroom ended. The rest of the day went by pretty slowly. Once I got home my mom asked me about my day. My sister then yelled and said that dinner was ready. The dinner conversation was extremely awkward. It went like this. " So Grace how was school?" My sister asked. " Same as usual. Boring and uneventful." "Well are you excited about anything this year?" My step dad asked. " I guess the grad dance will be fun. But I don't know." And it just kinda kept going like that. The next few days of school were just like the first. Boring. But that next week everything changed.
