Lucy's pov

"Baby, I think we should really go back to the hospital now," I told Ian after we had kissed under the mistletoe.

We were currently sitting on the couch in my living room again with all of our cast mates.

"Ok. Are you tired, love?" Ian asked me.

"Yeah, a little."

The truth was that I could barely keep my eyes open. Although my oxygen tank, which I always had to carry around with me, provided me oxygen I felt in need of it. I didn't want Ian to find out how I really felt, 'cause it would only worry him more.

I never told him how hard it was for me to be fed through a tube and I couldn't do anything against it. I felt how I became more and more fat ever day. I wasn't able to get rid of those calories.

It also scared the hell out of me that I still couldn't move my legs. I slowly gave up hope to ever get my life back. I knew that my life was gonna end in that hospital. I knew that I'd never make it out alive. But I never told Ian.

I acted like the strong girl he thought I was, he always saw the best in me. It broke my heart that I wasn't who he thought I was.

I felt Ian kissing my forehead, lifting me up and placing me in my wheelchair.

"We're heading back now. Lucy's tired," Ian informed the others.

"Thank you guys for everything, it was amazing!" I continued, forcing a smile and everyone bought it.

"See you soon, Goose and Ian!" Ash said as she hugged first me then Ian.

"Yeah, see you," We said back in unison.

Everyone else said their goodbyes as well and we left.

Ashley's pov

"I bet that the promise ring will soon be replaced with an engagement ring!" I squealed exited once Lucy and Ian had left.

"I don't think so. And even if he's gonna ask her that question the ring won't be replaced," Shay responded.

"Why?" I questioned and everybody looked at me like I missed something really obvious.

"Ok, guys please tell me!"

"She wears the ring on her right hand. She can wear her engagement ring on her left hand," Sasha explained, laughing along with all of my friends.

"Fine but I still think that they're getting engaged soon," I gave in, laughing as well.

"I don't think so. She isn't ready for something like this yet," Holly joined the conversation.

"Yes, Holly and Sasha are right, Ash," Tyler spoke up.

"Are you all ganging up on me now?" I asked, pretending to be really sad and shocked.

"Oh no, Ash. We're just stating the truth," Troian said, acted like she was sorry.

We all started laughing again. It had been an amazing day so far. Lucy was totally surprised when she got here and she enjoyed herself. I knew that being home would cheer her up a bit. I also took a picture of Lucy and Ian kissing under the mistletoe.

"Okay, now guys seriously we have to clean this place up," Marlene said now serious.

"Do we really have to do this now?" Shay questioned, "She won't be here anytime soon anyway."

"But if we're not doing this now we never will," Keegan replied, supporting Marlene.

"Fine!" Shay sighed.

We all started to clean Lucy's place up. An hour later we were done and headed home.

Lucy's pov

As soon as Ian and I arrived back at my room nurses connected me to different machines again. I hated the feeling of needles in my body. I always thought that it was kinda creepy.

"My parents just texted me, they are coming here tomorrow around 11," Ian informed me after he'd checked his phone.

"When are they landing?" I wanted to know.

"Tonight at 9.30."

"Well, it's 8.30 right now, shouldn't you be on your way to the airport? And where are they staying?"

"They said that they'll call a cab and they're gonna stay at my place."

"You're letting your parents take a cab? You can go and pick them up," I told him.

"But love, if I go now, the nurses probably won't let me stay here tonight."

"Then you could stay with your parents the night at your place and come back tomorrow at 11 with them," I responded.

"You don't like me being here?" Ian asked me joking.

"I love it when you're here. And to be completely honest I don't want you to ever leave but you should spend some quality time with your family. They flew all the way here to see you because you didn't wanna go visit them and the rest of your family because you wanted to stay with me. I really appreciate that you stayed here with me but you shouldn't miss any time with them. I know that this is nothing really special to you; you don't know it any other way. But you shouldn't take them for granted."

"You're right, Luce, but..."

"No buts, Ian. Do you know how much I would give for parents like yours? Parents who actually care for you and who would do everything for you?"

"Why do get the feeling that you're a little bit jealous?"

"Yes, maybe I am a little bit jealous! But of course you can't understand me!" I told him with tears of anger in my eyes.

"So you try to tell me what to do?" He raised his voice.

"No, I just..."

"And I can't understand you?"

"Yes! If you could you would appreciate your family a little bit more!"I yelled at him.

"Not everyone is as fucked up as you are!" He screamed back at me.

My entire face fell in shock and regret was written all over Ian's face. There's a saying that goes like

'Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates. At the first gate ask yourself 'Is it true?' At the second ask 'Is it necessary?' At the third gate ask 'Is it kind?''

His words clearly didn't pass those three gates. He should've thought about his words.

"Maybe it's best if you leave right now," I said quietly with a broken voice.

"Luce..."

"GO!" I yelled at him before he got the chance to say something.

"Baby, please I'm..."

"Get! Out! Of! My! Fucking! Room!" I screamed on top of my lungs, pronouncing every word in its own sentence. Ian decided to leave and it felt like he took a part of me with him.
