~~~ FIRST CHAPTER ~~~
"So dad, I was wondering if, I could go to Leah's party tonight?" I asked, taking a drink of my pink lemonade. My dad turned around and paused from washing dishes.
"Hayden, you've gotten in so much trouble lately and you're grounded, but I guess you can go." My dad answered. I jumped up and gave him a hug.
"Thank you!" I cheered, running up the steps to my room. What to wear? I opened my closet and went to the back of it, that's where I keep all my dresses. I grabbed my short black one. I threw it on, then went into the bathroom. I straightened my hair and let it fall. I put a little foundation on and some mascara. Red or black? I took my shiny red high heels. I walked downstairs slowly, trying not to fall. I snatched my phone off of the table and tried to ignore my dad.
"Hayden!" He called. I stopped instantly. Shit.
"Yes dad?" I questioned, not facing his way.
"Turn around." He said. I turned around facing him slowly.
"What are you wearing?"
"A dress." I said trying to avoid looking him in the eye.
"A super short inappropriate dress." My dad added.
"Dad, please. If I go in jeans everyone is gonna laugh." I reasoned.
"Fine go. Be safe, and make sure there is no drunk driving. If you need me to I can come get you."
I smiled and gave my dad a hug, leaving out the door. I hopped in my car and drove to Leah's house. There were cars everywhere, I had to park like way faraway. I traveled through sweaty body's, grinding against each other. I stood on my tippy toes, trying to get some air. I felt someone grab my waist. I turned around to a boy with dark hair.
"I'm just trying to get out." He told.
"Then why are you holding on to me?" I asked, still walking with him hanging off of me. We made our way to the backdoor. I opened the door there was only about 12 people outside in the backyard.
"So crowded in there!" The guy said.
"I know." I replied. He looked into my eyes and blinked repeatedly. His eyes were gorgeous, brown with a little twinkle.
"I'm Hayden." I smiled, holding my hand out.
"Zayn." He told, shaking my hand.
"You're eyes are so...pretty." I paused. I bet that sounded so creepy.
"Thanks," Zayn replied, with a bright white smile. I smiled back and looked around.
"Do you want me to get you a drink or something?" Zayn asked. I nodded as he walked away to the drink table. I don't really wanna drink tonight but whatever. He came back and held it out for me to grab.
"Thanks." I smiled, throwing the alcohol in my mouth, it burned as it traveled down my throat.
"Love, is that a little too strong?" Zayn asked, while he was snickering.
"Nah, um, I'm fine." I brushed off. That stuff is way too strong for me. More and more cups kept getting handed to me.
"Hayd- did did you m-meet my friend. What- what's your name again, Zach?" My friend Leah slurred with a drink in her hand. This is the first time I've seen her since I came here.
"Yeah." I nodded in agreement.
"It's Zayn." He corrected, making a straight face.
"Whatever!" She choked on her drink walking away.
"I think I'm gonna go." I said.
"You're too drunk to drive." He stated. That was true, I could call my dad, but he would kill me for being drunk.
"You can come stay at my house, cause it's like down the street." Zayn pointed down the street. I nodded as we stumbled in the door. I kicked my heels off. He was pushing against my back and I fell on the couch. We both started laughing as he laid on top of me. I yawned and he followed. I guess I made a new friend.
