I woke up to Zayn's face smashed into the side of my cheek, his legs wrapped around mine. I stretched out and rubbed my eyes. Zayn started grunting and moving around a little. He was sweating a lot.
"HAYDEN!" Zayn yelled rising up instantly, panting. He looked around out of breath, gasping for air.
"Are you okay?" I asked, widening my eyes.
"Are you?" He asked, his voice shaking.
"I'm fine." I said scrunching my eyebrows. He blinked his eyes over and over again just like last night.
"What happened?" I questioned, wondering why he shouted my name.
"It was- nothing." he started. I wanted to keep begging him to tell me, but I didn't wanna irritate him. He plopped back down on the couch, keeping his eyes open. I checked my phone I had a million missed calls from my dad. I dialed his number and listened for a
'Hello?' I said, my voice running.
"Hayden, where are you?" My dad asked, anger going through his voice. I hate when my dad is mad at me.
"I'm at Leah's." I lied.
'Well ya need to be home later." He said hanging up.
"Dad huh?" Zayn spoke walking towards the kitchen?
"Yes." I groaned.
"It must be nice having a family." Zayn smiled at his empty cup as it turned into a frown.
"Well yeah you should know, right?" I said, standing up walking into the kitchen with him.
"No." He said, it sounded so hollow.
"What do you mean?" I questioned. He turned his head and glanced at me.
"Its just nothing." His voice was getting sadder every moment.
"We can talk about it." I implied. He did a fake little chuckle.
"Maybe some other time." He brushed off, putting a tea bag in his hot water. I came up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him from behind. I pushed my head through his arm.
"What are you doin' love?" He snickered looking down at me. I looked up and smiled at him.
"Just watching you make tea."
"Want some?" He asked, licking his chapped up lips. I nodded, not letting go. He just went with it. He stammered over to the cabinet with me hanging on him. We went to three different stations, before my tea was completed. I let go of him and sat down in the dining room. Zayn sat across from me.
"Hey, um, your eyes are beautiful." Zayn smirked, sliding a key chain across the table, squinting his eyes, looking at me then back at the colorful key chain.
"Thank you." I smiled, remembering the eye compliment I gave him yesterday. Maybe he was just saying that because his memory was flowing back.
"I'm not just saying that because of last night, I mean it." He added, it's like he read mind.
"Oh okay." I smiled.
"Well, I gotta go to work in about 20 minutes." He said jumping up.
"You can stay here if you want or go home whatever you want." He offered.
"I gotta go home my dad and stuff." I said. Zayn smirked and pulled me in by my waist. He kissed the corner of my mouth.
"Bye, Hayden." He simpered, jogging down the hall. I grabbed my shoes too exhausted to wear them. I shut the door behind me running towards my car. I zoomed off to my house. I opened the door and threw my shoes to the side. I ran up the stairs to my room, throwing myself on my bed. My door opened, I looked straight up at my dad.
"You got drunk. You look a mess. You're grounded for 2 weeks." My dad said with the straightest face, then just walked out closing my door. My mom got on some hard drugs and went crazy. She's all the way in America in the California hospital. She's been there for about 6 months. My dad is always hard on me. I hate it!
