Justins P.O.V
Waking up I felt like shit, my head was pounding, there was also someone laying on me. Me hoping it was Selena, without opening my eyes I laid my head back on the pillow and wrapped my arm around them.
"Babe, I'm so glad you're here."
"Justin..." Fuck it was Hailey.
I got up quick then putting my hand over my forehead.
"Fuck." I mumbled.
"Here." She said handing me a glass of water and a pill.
"Happy Hangover day." she giggled.
"Whatever." I say rolling my eyes. How is she going to sit there and pretend everything was okay after what she said to me last night. Why is she even here she needed a break.
"Why are you here?" I stare blankly at here.
"you texted me last night saying you needed me so I came as quick as I could." She said looking concerned.
"Thanks.. but you can leave now. I know you don't want to deal with me anymore or need a break whatever. I can take care of myself." Turning back around not facing her.
"Justin.. I'm sorry I didn't mean it. I was mad and upset."
"Yeah? Well so am I Hailey. When I needed you the most last night, you weren't there. Instead you broke decided to break me even more. I would expect it from someone else but you? Nah I wasn't expecting it." I said dryly.
she laughed.
"Wow it's like the only time you even want me around is to help you with any problem that you have Justin. I'm not your best friend only so I can help you, you know that right?"
"Hailey you sound stupid, seriously. Do you think that's the only reason I want you around?" I said turning around facing her.
"That's what it seems.."
"That's one hundred percent not true. you make me happy, I can be myself around. My real self. You make me laugh and you're so genuine. I love everything about you. Don't underestimate the love that I have for you."
"I'm sorry." she said barely speaking, almost wanting to cry.
"Come here." holding my arms out for her to lay with me.
She gets in my bed with me and lays her head in my chest. I wrap my arms around her kissing her head.
"I'm sorry too Hails. I was pissed too because shit didn't go well with me and Selena."
"oh. what happened?"
I shook my head and chuckled.
"She said If I wanted us to work then I needed to stop being back around you. And I told her I wasn't letting that happen. You're way too important to me to just let you out of my life."
"You shouldn't have done that.. I wanted you happy I wanted you to ge-"
"You make me happy, with or without her I'll be happy. Don't worry about it. No relationship will ever come between our friendship. I promise that."
She looked at me and smiled our faces were close, it was in the moment and I just leaned down and kissed her lips softly. I felt something when we kissed every time I don't even know what it is. But when I kiss Selena, none of this ever happens. Maybe it's a sign? I mean I don't know.
I pulled back and looked at her. By the feel of my face and the look on hers, I knew we had the same thing happen to both of us.
"I'm sorry.." I say quietly.
"No, I'm sorry. I knew we should have taken time away from each other." she says getting ready to get up.
"No.. Hails, please stay. We've kissed many times. For fucks sake we've had sex. Let's not make this awkward for each other please."
She looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"You know how we always said we would be honest with each other?"
"Yeah." I said looking at her dead in the eyes.
She sat silently for a second and looked away.
"I like you Justin, as I told you last night. And me getting mad and going off was because I was jealous, jealous because you were out with some girl that doesn't even want to get back together with you Justin. And you know why I couldn't tell you that? Because I didn't want you to think that I was trying to fuck up what you guys have. I was just trying to go along with what you said because I know she makes you happy, but fuck Justin, you can't keep chasing someone that doesn't want you back. I understand how much you love her and I loved y'all at one point. But you just need to give it up.. I'm sorry. Look at what she caused you last night. You can't keep going back to your old habits for help Jay, it's not good for you. I only want what's best for you and I want you happy. you're my best friend and I love you more then anything in the world."
"I..I don't know what to say.. I mean if we're both being honest here I guess you should know that when we kissed, I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel anything."
She looked and at me shocked and I simply smiled at her.
"Are you serious?"
"I'm very serious." I chuckled.
"Well what does that mean?"
"What do you want it to mean?" I smirked.
"Well maybe we should kiss again to confirm it." she smirked back.
"I love the way you think Hails." I said pulling her on me and smashing our lips together.
Every kiss we have shared was never intentional, except this one. And my I say it felt so fucking good to be kissing my best friend. This is the best feeling in the world and I swear it feels like I am on cloud nine.
She pulls away for a second and looks at me smiling.
"What?" I chuckle.
"I want to be with you Jay."
"Woah woah Hails.... Let's take things slow yeah? I don't want to rush into anything. Let's just see where things take us alright? Just let it happen. But I can tell you whatever happens I won't prevent it from happening."
She looks at me and smiles, and just looking at her real genuine smile is so damn beautiful, it made me smile. Maybe I am falling for her, but then in still so deep in love with Selena and idk what to do.. to keep what I have with Hailey and be with Selena. Or drop Sel and be with Hailey..
I had a decision to make and I better make it soon before I leave for vacation with my family in a month, one of them will come with me.
