Chapter Five.

I started school in ten minutes and I was nowhere near ready. I was defiantly going to be late this morning. I didn’t have time for a shower, so I shoved the first things I touched out of my wardrobe, luckily they went. Brushed my hair, brushed my teeth, ran downstairs, grabbed a piece of toast and met my mother and sister at the door and got into the car. Record time. I got into school and lessons had already started. I had science first which was not good, the teacher still hated me. I knocked on the door then walked in.

“Sorry I’m late sir” I muttered while going to my seat, he muttered something under his breath and went back to teaching his lesson. I was sitting in-between Serena and Paolo.

‘Where have you been?’ Serena whispered.

‘I woke up late’ I sighed; I really didn’t sleep well last night. Paolo looked at me worriedly, I smiled so he wouldn’t think I was upset or tired. I kept quiet through the whole of that lesson. I was so happy to get out of Science, it wasn’t my best subject, and I really hated it! While walking to next lesson, Paolo stopped me by the lockers and signalled Serena to keep going.

“Paolo we have to go, we’re gonna be late and I can’t be late twice in one day” I said.

“Okay I’ll be quick” he sighed, “come out with me tonight” he said as he leaned in closer to me, I really thought he was going to kiss me but he soon back away when one of the teachers walked past, luckily he didn’t say anything to us.

“Okay, where to?” I asked him.

“Ah, that’s for me to know and for you to find out later, I’ll pick you up at 6?” he smirked.

“Okay that’s fine” I said and then muttered childish under my breath as I walked past him to class, he tripped me up as I past and burst into laughter. I got up and brushed myself down, I was not impressed. We walked to class; Paolo didn’t stop giggling while I tried to keep a straight face his laughter was contagious. We walked into math crying with laughter, Mr Romano looked at us stupidly.

“Take a seat,” he said to us both. We took our seats next to Serena.

“Made up now have you?” Serena whispered to me.

“I don’t know, he’s taking me out tonight” I giggled and she joined in with me.

For the rest of the day Paolo and me were on talking terms, he was back as my friend and I liked it that way even though I was madly in love with him. After school I was waiting by the bus stop with some other people who I had never spoken to before, not that they would speak to me anyway.

“Your Paolo’s little friend aren’t you?” a tall boy with shaggy blonde hair and blue eyes said to me while smirking.

“Yeah, why do you care?” I said looking up to him.

“Just wondering” he said with his arms up in pretend surrender.

“Funny” I said sarcastically and turned away from him, he followed me and came back in front of me. I sighed.

“Look let’s start afresh?” he said to me smiling. “I’m Eduardo and you are?”

“I’m Summer” I said, I was really not amused although he was really hot but he was a popular and I didn’t know why he was talking to me.

“How about we go out tonight” he said while touching my arm.

“I’m busy,” I said. He started rubbing his hand up and down my arm, it felt nice.

“Tomorrow night?” he said with a smile. I couldn’t resist he was really cute.

“Sure” I smiled. He handed a piece of paper with his name and number on it, he must give these to a lot of girls.
