A Shooters Love

Chapter 1

The last thing I remember was Doc getting shot, Cas coming back bitten, running for the car, kissing 10k and then a blinding white light. Then one minute I'm sitting next to Doc and the next Warren is leaned over me patting my check, I open my eyes and begin to cough, "easy you hit your head pretty hard," she told me as I latched myself onto her, before suddenly pulling away looked around letting out a sigh of relief when I spotted 10k supporting Doc, "everyone's ok," I smiled as I stood up and ran to both of them engulfing them in a hug. We all looked out the mouth of the tunnel, "holy shit," Doc mumbled, "is that snow," I shook my head, "no that's ash," I said as I looked to wipe the blood off 10ks mouth, "are you ok," I asked them, "us we should be asking you, your the one who got thrown from the car," Doc said as he held his bleeding shoulder. After we all diagnoses that we were ok to continue we got prepared to go out into the nuclear storm. I piled my hair on the top of my head as 10k pulled a bandana around my neck, I wrapped the scarf around my head and pulled the bandana to cover my mouth and nose. I grabbed Doc as the four of us headed out into the ash covered world, we stayed close together as 10k and Warren covered us while I helped Doc walk.

We had been walking through the waste land for awhile before Doc stumbled, 10k helped me steady him as we set him down to rest. Warren handed him the rest of the water, "just leave me a weapon and some ammo and leave me," he told us as I shook my head no, "no one is leaving you, I'll scout up ahead and look for help. 10k, you and Aly stay with Doc," she told us as I stood up, "Warren you can't go by yourself it's not safe," I said as I stood by her, she smiled weakly and patted my head, "I'll be ok, you do me a favor and watch over these two till I get back," she told me as I nodded sadly and we watched her walk away.
We stayed there for a half hour, 10k was helping Doc dress his wound as I was scoping around the area, I saw what appeared to be a blinking light towards the north, "I see something," I told them, "what is it," 10k asked, "it looks like a some sort of tower, the lights are blinking," I told them. I turned towards them, "its probably messed up from the nukes nothing to worry about," Doc said as he look at me. I turned back towards the direction of the tower, "I don't know, something is telling me that we should go," I said biting the tip of my thumb in thought, "well in that case we might as well go check it out, your feeling has never been wrong," 10k told me as we helped Doc up, "I'm ok for now," he told us as we headed north. We walked for a while till we came to a graveyard of cars, "do you think Warren is ok," I asked them as we stopped for a bit, "you know Warren she can handle herself," Doc told me as 10k gave my hand a reassuring squeeze, I smiled and blushed as our moment was ruined by screaming, "that sounds like..," I began as Doc climbed up to a rusty rv trailer and looked, "holy hell it is them, kid get up here they got trouble, Aly head over that way there's two headed their way," Doc said as I went that way, "be careful," 10k called back. I saw the two Doc had pointed out and took out my bat, I slammed in its head as I heard 10k fire his gun, the other Z headed for Addy as I pulled out one of my hand guns and sent a bullet between its eyes.
" Well aren't y'all a sight for sore eyes," I said as I ran and met Addy in a hug as 10k and Doc fist pumped Mack before I pulled Mack in one, "how's your shoulder," I asked him, "I should be asking you that, but its fine it might have been worse of you haded been an accidental shield," he said ruffling my hair as we laughed, "wheres Warren," Addy asked worried. We explain to them all that had happened when we split up as Mack supplied us with some food and water, "we should head the way Warren went and see if we can find her," I said standing up, the others agreed as Mack led us to the four wheeler and trailer, Mack hopped on as the four of us sat in the trailer me in 10ks lap.

We had been on this never ending stretch of rode for nearly an hour and so far no sign of Warren, that is until we went over a hill and I noticed something on the side of the road, I immediately recognized the body shape of Warren as Mack pulled up beside her. She hugged Mack before sitting in the back with us and hugging Addy, we began traveling the road again. After another hour we ended up driving through a small town, "you think Murphy might be here," I voiced to everyone as we passes a sign, "my Spanish is alittle rusty but I think this is what they were talking about," Addy said, "Warren," Mack said as we noticed alot of armed people around, 10k tightened the grip he had on my waist as a woman in a mini van passed by us, "just ignore them," she told us.
"Ok we need to think like Murphy, and I know that a scary place to be but," Warren said before 10k spoke up, "you said think like Murphy right," he said smiling pointing behind him, Mack stopped right in front of a building that read 'Live Nude Girls.' If that doesn't have Murphy written all over it I'll give up drugs," Doc said as we all got out of the trailer, we went to the door and opened it and low and behold there was Murphy seated at the bar wearing a suit, "Hey guys," he said downing his drink, "what took you so long."
"Murphy you son of a bitch," Warren said, "yeah what she said," Doc said pointing at him, "now now Warren is that anyway to talk to an old friend," he said with a smirk as Warren pushed him up against the bar, the things around us stirred as we saw all the zombies, Murphy quieted them down. Murphy and Warren exchanged a few words as I zoned out, I didn't zone back in till I saw Cassandra come out of the shadows protecting Murphy, my eyes widened as the next thing I know I was hugging her and crying the only problem is that she wasn't responding to me at all, I pulled back to see her eyes unfocused as she acted like a dazed Z, "C-Cas," I said as I felt 10k pull me back and behind him, "that's not Cassandra anymore," he told me as Mack put a hand on my shoulder to comfort me. After a few minutes Murphy told us go take a seat because he had something to show up, I leaned up against the bar as 10k sat next to me, his arm around me. Murphy brought up a zombified hooker as she began to spin on the pole before her arm fell off, we heard clapping coming from the shadows as a man walked out. The next thing I know was Murphy and Cas were escaping and the Z's around us were attacking, after dealing with the Z's we went after Murphy and this new journey began.
