Tori's POV
I wake up the next morning, dreading the day to come. Rupert wasn't coming home until tomorrow, so I was alone to deal with the loss of my parents. At around 11am, I get up and take a shower. I put on black leggings and my volleyball sweatshirt. I don't plan on leaving today, so I don't put on shoes. I do put on some mascara and my lemon lipgloss though. I finish getting ready by brushing my hair and leaving it down. I run downstairs and make myself a smoothie. I sit on the couch, watching Haven on Netflix. About 2 hours go by before I remember that there were 2 pages to the letter I had gotten yesterday. I slowly make my way back to my room and grab the letter. Going outside to get some fresh air, I lay in the grass and read the second page. It reads, "We also want to inform you that you're birth parents would like to send their sincerest apologies." I stop there, gasping. My birth parents? I was adopted and they never told me!?! I get up and pave my yard. I stop and continue reading. "You're files were confidential and you're adoptive parents were told not to tell you for your safety and their own. You're parents are Queen Juliet and King Robert of the Solomon Island. Your younger brother, Philip, is Prince of the Solomon Island. You, the heir to the throne, are Princess Victoria of the Solomon Island," it reads. I put it down again. This is too much. I drag my fingers through my hair, pacing back and forth. I'm a princess. My whole life has been a lie. I pick up the paper and finish reading. "Your parents would like you to make a choice. You can stay there and have your true identity told to the school, or you can leave there and move to your country. Also, a maid from the castle will be living with you now, to make you a true princess. On the back of this page is your mother's, your father's and your brother's contact information. Please contact them back soon. Thank you," I take a deep breath. What do I do?!? After 30 minutes, I decide I'm going to stay here. I get my mother's contact information and text her my choice. She responds back saying that I made a good choice and that they would be up to visit me soon. I sigh in relief and go to watch more Haven on Netflix. I eventually fall asleep.
Alex's POV
I'm at Jack's house, hanging out, when I look out the window to see Tori, laying in the grass reading. She looks so beautiful, with her hair payed out and the contrast between the grass and her body. I smile to myself, gazing at her beauty. She doesn't look as sad as yesterday, which is good. Suddenly, she throws the paper down and gets up, pacing. She looks shocked and worried. I want to go comfort her, but that'd be kind of creepy if I just showed up. Eventually, she goes inside and I'm relieved. She looks pretty stressed out when she was reading that letter. I wonder what it said. Oh well, guess I'll figure it out Monday.
Tori's POV
~Time Skip to the Next Day~
Ring! Ring! I wake up on a Sunday morning to the sound of bells. "Oh darling! You're awake! Thank goodness! Good morning Ms. Victoria, I am Madam Beatrice. I will help you pick your outfits for certain occasions, as well as makeup and hair-dos. I will also provide you with mandatory Princess Training!" A sparky, skinny woman with red hair says to me, getting me out of my bed. I groan, swatting at her hand. "Now, now. I want to show you all the new stuff I brought from the Islands and I want to talk to you about school and our relationship." She squeals. She's enjoying this more than she should. I nod, sitting on the edge of my bed. "Now. I want to show you the dresses I brought from the kingdom." She says, opening my wardrobe. My mouth gapes open as I stare into a new part of my closet. I pull a short, black skater dress out from the mix. I stare at it in admiringly. "You have that in a multitude of color darling! Along with sparkly dresses, long dresses, ball gowns, everything!" Beatrice exclaims excitedly. "Oh, and your shoes!" She grabs one side of the wardrobe and and spins it, revealing another side full of shoes. "You have uggs, combat boots, flats, pumps, wedges, heels, tennis shoes, flip flops and converse!" She says, pointing at the groups as she said them. I'm speechless. This is more than I could ask for. "Now, let's talk about what I want our relationship to be," Beatrice says nervously. I turn to look at her and she begins, "I want our relationship to be like sisters. So you can talk to me about anything, you can call me, text me, ask me for advice, anything. Also, I want you to call me B." She says it slower than everything else, like she's thinks I am about to explode. Before I could reply she quickly adds, "I know you might resent me because your parents just died and you just found out you were adopted and you just found out you were a princess, but I want to get over that. Please?" I smile at her and nod. It's the least I can do because she's helping me figure out my new life and she's making an effort. She smiles, relieved. She gives me a small hug before continuing. "Now, let's talk about school! Tomorrow is when it will be announced to the whole school. You do have to wear something formal for the assembly, but after that, you can wear more comfortable, still kind of formal clothing. You can get rid of any class as well for Princess Training, taught by the one and only, me!" She pauses and a serious look comes over her. "I also want to warn you that when people find out you're a princess, people you've never met will want to become your friend. Stay away from those people. Also, many of the times that I've done this, the princess's friends abandoned her because they thought she had lied to them and hid it from them. They will be mean and jealous and will tell everybody anything to get back at you. This doesn't happen every time, but it does often. I just want you to be prepared," she warns. A sudden, goofy smile plays across her lips before I can react. "Oh! I almost forgot! Your car!" I jump up squealing. She hands me the keys and I run out to see a Porsche. A Porsche! I run back in and hug B tightly. She smiles and we talk and hang out the rest of the day. I almost forget about tomorrow.
