C10 : Goals

"I'm definitely willing to spill but I have to know do you like James?" Tina asked. a smile appeared kindly as she asked the question everyone wanted to know. A smile appeared on my face too. I tried to play it off but how could I. I mean I had feelings for him that I for one didn't want. "Nun uh, Nah, No. I mean maybe well yeah. Okay, a little but just a little and no more," I said slightly feeling unsure and ungrateful that it was one more person who knew and could tell James. He was the last person I wanted to know I had feelings well beside Regina of course. I don't want to see what she would do with that kind of information.

"Awee oh my gosh you do that's so cute," Tina screamed.

"Shut up! Okay maybe I do but I can't date him." The nerves from thinking that he was nearby listening in. I hated being teased by my friends when I had a crush on someone. They never failed which made it 100 times worse.

"Why not?"

"Sure you can!"

My back was turned towards the door like some kind of look out woman. My focus was on one time thing and not who said what.

"Because he has a child on the way with Regina. I don't have time for that I got goals," Danni said sadly but with pride. Tina bust out laughing, tears I may say. Kayla and Kelli started awkwardly. My ass thought she was gonna kill me.

"But seriously what's so funny," I asked filled with curiosity.

"Well, Regina is- cut off my her own laugher. She took a deep breathe and attempted to finish. Jealous because she knows James likes you and not her which I mean is obvious by the way. Anyways she made up a plan to make you totally hate him. Part of her plan was blackmail. She told James if he didn't agree she would tell the police he raped her or something along with something else. He had to agrer to it because ya know that would be bad on his record true or not. I was getting so annoyed and I really thought it was dumb and really mean of her to try and push you guys apart. That's when I stomped out and ran into you guys.

"Omg she is sick and dumb asf, does she not realize we have another Best friend out there all alone without us. Kelli said sadly.

"I mean she probably has thought of something for that. It's like her mind runs ahead of time." Tina stated.

"That might be true but if we can get in contact with her then maybe she'll get the police to help. We need to get James here for two reasons. Number one since Regina is like pretty much obsessed with me or James or just crazy we can use him to make the plan or to lure her in. Number two he can be a key access which is more important just in case she has anything or rooms locked from us. Finally number three I need to see him." I added in a hushed tone.

Tina, you need to play both sides of the fence. Later today tell James you need to talk about "The baby", make sure he knows you've been talking to us. Don't bluntly say, just hint about it."

"Good. Then bring him to this room and we'll get him on our side but he probably already is since Danni is. I mean how can he not, he's basically in love with her" Kayla said laughing.

"Good idea," Kelli said. "'We should meet back here in about 25 minutes with James and we can discuss. See ya Tina."

Kelli, Kayla, and I went back to our room. It was 7:17. I set my timer because I didn't want to take any chances.

"Kelli do you think Ciara is looking for us? At this rate even if we are able to make a fool proof plan how do we know we'll get out or even stay alive." I asked.

Tears filled my eyes thinking I would never see my parents again. We talked on the phone literally every day while they're traveling. Whenever we skipped a day we made sure we talked extra long the next day. We could spend hours and hours talking about whatever. They always tried to get me to talk about guys but none ever caught my attention. My dad was grateful for that but on the other hand my mom was not. A lot of black parents weren't close and I was truly glad I was close to my parents.

"I sure hope so I mean we rarely go a day without talking when one of us don't go to school. If she's really our bestfriend she should realize something is wrong."

Kelli noticed the tears in my eyes, she brought me into a warm hugs. We were so close I could hear her heart beating, quickly. Kayla soon joined us too which made me cry more but make me feel a whole lot of love.

"I'm just so scared, I won't be able to see my parents or Ciara again but my worst fear is that they aren't looking for us. Awe what about your sister. You know she looks up to you, you guide her down the right path." I said.

"My sister is fine, Danni. I have given her enough of my wonderful wisdom to help her live a lifetime without needing me anymore. We'll be okay," She played with my curly, brown, hair for a second then pulled me up soI could play myself together.

"This is crazy I usually the calm one that you guys come to from comfort. I really do love you, Kelli."

"I know, I know but sometimes you have to find that same comfort in us. I love you too bestfriend. We move as one remember,"

The timer I set stopped it just as I composed myself. We headed back down to that little comfy room. We walked in and I first thing I saw James, our eyes locked instantly once again, then he walks over to me, lifts my chin and rough yet sweetly kisses me. Everyone
simultaneously said awe! "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry that I had to act like that in front of Regina. I mean im supposed to be making you fall in love with me not pushing you away by sliding with the worst thing that walks this Earth." He kissed me again, just a quick one.

"James I told you not to kiss me again. I guess I should tell you again. Don't kiss me AGAIN Jamesy, I'll slap you next time. If you're done playing around, we have a plan to discuss." I smiled warmly towards him. Not sure how he took it but he smiled back, they joked where in his eyes.

"Well let's get started shall we?" Kayla said happily.
