C9: Hurt

~Danni's POV~

I happened to find a room with a few beds. It was far from the room we were originally in a little while ago. Kelli and Kayla sat with me. We mostly talked about the experience Kayla was having here and what's it like being here alone before us. She told us she had hallucinations and she would sometimes talk to herself. She also explained she would have to retake her senior year so she would be in the same graduating year if we were found. When we weren't talking about that we talked about our hopes, dreams, and goals or drama that she missed out on after she disappeared.

I see Regina and James walked down the hall towards us. They were hand and hand like some couple who were actually in their puppy love stage. I stop them from talking any further and I point towards them. Regina smile brightly, she seemed very happy for some reason. "I have an announcement to make!" She says excitedly.

"What do you want, Regina?" I asked her, blankly.

I just wanted to tell you that I'm pregnant and James is the father." She looked up at him, smiling so brightly. As if they were genuinely in love. Like they should spend the rest of their lives together. Him, Her, and their bundle of joy. No one else mattered now, it was them against the world.

I thought maybe I was right about him. He just wanted to get in my pants and when he couldn't he got in Regina's. No matter how I felt my heart broke into a million pieces, a sad feeling filled my heart, and my stomach sank to my feet. I thought at this moment I have a good type of way about him, and now he got this nasty thing pregnant. I knew he was nothing but a player and this proves me correct. Good thing I caught it early before I fell head over heels in love with him.

I mean I wasn't going to let him know I had a good feeling. Well CONGRATULATIONS to the two of you. Just wait until she or he comes put it's going to be the best thing in your lives. I know I loved when Kelli's little school was born as though she was my own. I wish you guys the best" I said and smiled kindly.

"Thanks, Danni, I just knew you would be happy for us even though it isn't you with James." She laughed. Ahkekeke rang through my ears. She just loved to tease me like I couldn't get him as I said earlier.

"I mean what I said a while before you made up this crazy idea. Whether it's true or false what I said still stand. I could have him in a heartbeat. I smiled. Why don't you ask him yourself." I teased back.

The color drained from her face. She grabbed his hand that she had let go just minutes ago to feel on her stomach.

"Oh no Regina don't go without asking him. Go ahead prove me wrong." I said.

She turns around slow and on her heels. "Well, James can she have you in a heartbeat? She asks calmly. He stood there and lifted his eyes. Our eyes locked immediately, I saw the pain in his eyes. His eyes moved to Regina, they stared at each other for at least a minute, and faces were made. "No, no she can't have me in a heartbeat even if she wishes." I just about to laugh but then it hit me. "No," he said, he fell into her game or maybe he was playing me this whole time. It was my turn, I lost feeling in my cheek and I no longer felt the need to smile.

"You heard it from James himself. Hope you finally understand because it sure feels good to be right, but what makes it even BETTER is that I was right and YOU were wrong. Bye bye now" she waved.

The two of them went back to wherever they came from and I stormed off down the hall. I couldn't think anything but "Well damn" Kelli and Kayla ran close behind me and soon they finally caught up to me when I stopped.

"What the hell? You wanna tell us what the reason for you storming off was for, Danni?" She sounded extremely irritated with me for doing so. I didn't know why because the walk wasn't even that far and she sure damn wasn't tired from that little jog. If I wanna storm off I should be able to storm off. It's not like I can go anywhere outside this building.

I rolled my eyes, "Don't get annoyed with me anyways Can we find somewhere to sit while I tell you guys why I ran off?"

"Yeah let's go," Kayla said politely unlike someone else.

We got to this room, it was pretty comfy. We got to a room and I instantly told them about the kiss, what I said to James, and How I feel about James. "I think I really like him. I mean it's nothing too serious, I'm not madly in love with him or anything but there are feelings. You know when you don't want to like someone but instantly you like them? That's how I feel. When Regina told me she was pregnant and he said I couldn't take him if I wanted I was highly pissed. Especially after the kiss, we shared so I flipped and stormed off down the hall.

Tina barged into the small, detailed room we were located inside. Her eyes landed instantly on the three of us. "TINA!" We all spat out in sync.

"What are you doing walking down here all alone? Why aren't you with Reginaaaa" Kayla asked. Voice filled with sarcasm.

"I finally realized Regina is a bitch! She really isn't the type of person I want to hang out with let alone be my best friend. She was never really like this before but it's time I move along to something better. Can I hang with you guys?" She asked

"Sure you can, you seem pretty cool, and you're really chill. I don't see why not." Kayla agreed with a nod.

Kelli looked her up and down. "How do we know this isn't apart of Regina's plan? She could be a double agent." Kelli said suspiciously.

"I promise I'm not. I'm really fed up with Regina and her games. Like she locked me and James down here too and of course, she would do this our senior year. She knew I wanted everything to be perfect, literally down to my attendance. College is the only thing that matters. Plus I have dirt on her so why not give it to you guys." Tina said justifying herself.
