Thomas POV
I watched from the top of the ship in darkness as Ben embraced the mother of my child and her sister. My hatred for him grew more and more, the man was suppose to be my best friend. However, he is just the man that took away Olivia's love from me. It took all my strength not to aim the gun I used on Elijah at him and shoot him dead, but I would risk losing not only Olivia, but my unborn child as well. However, he will be the first person I will take out when that baby is born. I will kill Olivia and Ben, take the baby with me and raise him or her myself.
I stood there for thirty minutes watching everything unfold, from them question Olivia and Kali to them taking away Elijah's body. Killing Elijah was not a problem for me, he was a prideful ass who trusted to many people. His trust in me was ultimately his down fall, even though he saved my life and I respected him, he still was not ready to be the leader to The Underground. He took too many risks and risked the life of two individuals that did not ask to be brought into this: my child and Kali Stone.
However, it was time I took up a new line of work. I think if I declared myself leader and bend them to my will, I could be the greatest one of all. Also, I could keep Olivia, Kali and my child safe from the vicious rats of The Underground until the child is born. Killing Elijah would show that my loyalty to The Underground, also CIA turned rogue looks better to those morons anyways.
"Thomas." A small voice called to me.
I swiftly turned around and pointed my gun the same direction as well. As I looked, I saw a beautiful red headed girl, however her clothes dirty and her face was caked with blood, but her vivid eyes still stunned me. It was Kali.
"Hello Kali." I stated letting her beauty amaze me, she looked nothing like Olivia. She was more beautiful then anybody I've ever seen in my life.
"How do you know me?" I asked as I lowered my gun, curious as to why she was here.
"I have seen pictures of you and Olivia." She stated. "She never kept you a secret, she was in love with you. However, she never spoke of you after you died. Then I saw you on the boat today, frankly it was kind of strange to see a dead man enjoying a cruise."
I cursed at myself. "Of course you saw me." I nodded. "Why have you come up here Kali?" I asked.
"To thank you for saving us." She spoke softly, she was stiff with her arms crossed in front of her. "I knew it was you who shot from the roof, you betrayed your leader to save us. How brave."
"It was no problem." I said roughly. "There was no reason that a beautiful girl like yourself should be dying today and neither should your sister." I looked back over to see Olivia and Ben embracing again, the look of disgust kept over my face. Obvious to Kali as she stepped closer to look at what I was seeing.
She nodded. "Do you still love her?" She said bluntly.
"No." I said coldly. "She left me to die alone while she slept my best friend, my love for her is long gone."
"Then why save her when she left you to die?" She asked. "If that was me, I would have jumped ship and left her to suffer the fate she deserved. It is not like you are bound to her in anyway."
Good question Kali! I thought to myself. I could have let Elijah kill Olivia and my life would be a pain free one, but I am bound to her by the child she is carrying. However, Kali must not know of it right now. I looked at her, those beautiful eyes staring softly at me as it made my stone heart soften. Her beauty struck me very hard and I was unable to speak my mind. I took a deep breath and tried again.
"Because I am not completely heartless." I lied. "Even though she did me wrong, I will not do her wrong."
She nodded again. "Okay I was just curious." She stated. "Thank you again. Will I be seeing you again?"
Really Kali? Baby all you had to do was ask. I thought.
I chuckled. "Maybe." I stated. "However, I am not good person here Kali."
"I believe you are no matter how hard you try to be evil." She stated. "You loved my sister at one point and time, that proves you are a good person. I would like to see that good person more now. I have heard so many stories about you from her, the man in that story I admired and fell in love with."
My heart began to melt. She hit me with that like a ton of bricks. I couldn't believe I was letting this nineteen year old girl let me fall in love with her. I could see it in her eyes that she felt the same, but there was no way to tell if it was true love or that kind woman get after somebody saves them. This is no fucking Superman, where he flys in and saves the day and the girl who falls in love with him. This is real life with real people, there was no time for superhero drama. In my world, she could seriously get hurt or killed. I need to control myself and let this one go, I do not want another relationship to go wrong again and I do not want her hurt.
I stepped closer to her, our faces almost touching and kissed her on the cheek. Her skin was warm and soft, she blushed red as I pulled away.
"You may want to go back to your sister before she starts to worry." I said.
She nodded and swiftly turned around, walking back down to find Olivia.
I looked back at the ocean, the moon was shining down upon it. Once I stepped back on shore, I would go straight back to The Underground and declare my leadership then after that. Well, who knows after that. I may disappear until my child is born or settle down and somehow be with Kali.
My life was an endless list of adventures now, it was time to become a ghost again. Once a ghost, you will always be a ghost.
