A loud ringing filled my head all too quickly. I immediately slapped my alarm clock as I usually do and, of course, it crushed underneath my hand. Great another item to add to my list of destruction, I sighed. I walked over to the mirror that hung over my dresser.  I couldn't help but stare at how different my body appeared. Although aunt Mary assured me these differences were minor and could only be picked up by one of "us", I wondered if Jess and the boys would notice.

Another sigh, I seemed to be doing that a lot lately. I grabbed my phone and scrolled through missed calls and texts, plenty from Jessica asking what the hell happened, the boys, a few unknowns, and KEVIN! My heart began to race, apparently we still have beating hearts I thought.

I read the first text from Kevin, "What happened to taking notes? lol looks like i don't owe you after all. Too bad. " I felt myself blush. Another, "Grace, are you okay its been a few days? Hope all's well, have the notes for you when you get back."  I knew I'd have some explaining to do.

Once I was showered and dressed I made my way downstairs for breakfast, which I no longer ate. No wonder aunt Mary isn't big on family meals, I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of her sitting there with her stern face while Allie and I ate.

"Watcha laughing at?" I heard Allie's voice ask.

"Nothing sneaky." I said scooping her up.

She giggled "Feeling better?"

"Yep, better then better!" I tickled her until she started to kick and twist.

"Why are you up so early little lady?"

"I wanted check on you." she replied grabbing my hand and pulling me the rest of the way to the kitchen.

I smiled. When we got to the kitchen I saw a huge sign made of pink and green construction paper hanging above the table on the wall that read "Welcome home Gracie!" When I looked down I saw a huge breakfast set across the table.

"Surprise!" Allie squealed.

I turned to see Ellis at the corner with a pained expression on her face and my eyes began to water.

"Allie you-," I choked.

Her huge grin vanished. "Don't cry!" She begged.

I smiled and nodded as I wiped away a tear that defiantly escaped. "I'm just happy."

Her smile reappeared. "Look at what I made you!" she said tugging me towards the table.

"You did this all by yourself?" I asked surprised.

"Well Ellis helped me a little." she said turning to Ellis who winked at her.

I sat down in front of plates filled with chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, and candy Allie I shook my head. This would be my first time eating food since I woke up from my "coma" as I continue to refer to the madness. Aunt Mary told me it'd taste bland like chewing on rubber, but I'd hoped and prayed before I took my first bite that she was wrong... for Allie's sake.

Sitting beside me burning a hole into the side of my head with her eyes, Allie waited anxiously for my verdict on her breakfast. "Wellll?" she asked as I bit into the chocolate chip pancake.

"MmMmMm!" I said with a mouthful of the pancakes that tasted like nothing... like chewing on rubber. My heart broke when I saw her face light up.

"You like it?!" she practically shouted.

I struggled to swallow. "Like it?! I love it! It's delicious. You gotta try this. Thank you so much Allie. I love you." I said turning to give her a kiss.
