Hazel let out a small sigh, squinting her eyes against the sea spray. She looked over to see Annabeth and Percy talking by the railing of the Argo 2. She suddenly heard a buzzing sound from above her. She looked up and spotted the source of the noise. Was it a bird?

No too big, Hazel thought.

Whatever it was it was heading straight for Percy and Annabeth.

"DUCK!" Hazel shouted at the unsuspecting teenagers. They turned towards Hazel's voice and ducked just in the nick of time.

"What in the gods name was that!?" Percy shouted, coming to meet Hazel with Annabeth right behind him.

"I don't know," Hazel responded. "But whatever it is, it's coming back!" Hazel pointed at the sky where the figure still appeared to be falling. The still flying figure was shouting.

Hazel had barely enough time to figure that the thing was shouting Mia, before it fell to the deck with a thud.

Almost as though he wasn't hurt at all, the thing, as Hazel had just discovered was a boy, rose up to its full height.

The young boy of 17 or 18 had straw colored hair, with a scar. He was wearing the strangest pair of sneakers Hazel had ever seen. They had wings!

Annabeth gasped and started shaking, while Percy stood gapping. Hazel had no idea who this boy was, but judging by her friends reactions, she was guessing they did.

Hazel heard footsteps on the stairs and she turned away to find Jason standing there. Jason looked from the shaking Annabeth to the stunned Percy, before his eyes falling on the stranger.

Jason studied the newcomer with curiously.

"Have we met?"

The stranger turned away from staring at Percy and Annabeth to stare at Jason.

"No, I can't say we have."

He turned his attention back to Percy and Annabeth. He was about to say something when Percy stomped forward puling his fisted hand back. He let his fist fly into the boys' stomach.

The boy groaned, leaning forward, but he had a small smile on his face.

"I deserved that," he said with a breathless chuckle.

"You deserve more than that." Percy growled.

Annabeth seemed to have been shaken out of her state of shock when her boyfriend had punched the, still, strange man.

"Let's go below, Percy, to your cabin."

They then had a whispered conversation that Hazel could hear nothing of. Annabeth then turned and nodded at Hazel. They walked right past Hazel and Jason without a word, and climbed down the stairs to the cabins below.

Jason turned to her, eyebrows furrowed.

"Who the Hades was that?"

Hazel just shrugged. She had no idea but she couldn't help but feel that whoever he was, it wasn't good.
