To say I was shocked to see Luke again was an understatement. I never thought I would see him again. I don't think I've ever felt so much anger then when I punched him. I mean this guy tried to take away everything I loved.

I felt Annabeth walk up to me and put her hand on my arm. I instantly relaxed.

She then turns to Luke, lowering her voice so Jason and Hazel couldn't hear her.

"What do you want Luke?"

"I want a second chance. I messed up, I know, but please." Luke pleaded.

I groaned. A second chance? No. It would be a cold day in the Underworld before I even thought of giving him a second chance.

Annabeth must've been thinking the same thing because she let out a small unamused chuckle.

"Luke... No absolutely not." I could see her struggling. She shook her head as though telling herself that this wasn't an option.

"Please? Let me at least tell you my story."

Annabeth sighed, and I knew that Luke was about to get his way. She grabbed my hand, and I squeezed to let her know that this was her decision.

I noticed Luke looking at our hands, eyebrows furrowed. His eyes didn't leave our hands until Annabeth spoke.

"Fine, we'll listen to your story, but if you try anything I swear to the gods and everything above I will kill you and send you right back to where you came from is that clear?" Annabeth's voice was low and stern and I couldn't help but feel scared. "Percy's cabin. Now."

"Why in a cabin? Why can't we just talk here?"

I could feel Annabeth's hand shaking in mine and I couldn't help but feel even more anger towards Luke for causing my Annabeth to shake. In fear or anger I didn't care. I didn't want to talk. I wanted to finish beating the crap out of him but Annabeth.... She needed this. I could tell.

"Our friends don't need to hear this. Let's go, deadbeat."

I saw Luke flinch at the name but I couldn't care less. I slowly and silently led Annabeth and Luke past Hazel and Jason, almost forgetting they were there.

I descended down the stairs; Annabeth's shaking hand still clutched in mine.
