Together, they repacked. They left for the airport, and waited for the plane. It was faster than the train, and they got to spend time together.

Farkle was asleep, his head on Lukas' shoulder. Lukas had his head on Farkle's. He hummed softly as Farkle started to squirm in his grasp, muttering something about not wanting him to die.

Lukas wrapped an arm around Farkle. "Sh, hey, i'm right here, I'm never leaving you again..."

Farkle quieted, snuggling into Lukas' side. Lukas watched out the window, the sun was just starting to set as they started to land. He was glad he had texted Riley to see if Mr. Matthews could pick them up, and he was glad that Mr. Matthews could pick them up.

Farkle woke up and grabbed Lukas when the plane touched down.

"Morning, Farkle," Lukas smiled.

"Its not morning. Its night, Mr. Freak Face," Farkle mused.

Once they were at the gate, they were able to stand and get off the plane. Farkle lead Lukas to the baggage claim to get their bags. Lukas kept and arm around Farkle as they tried to find their bags. Lukas found his immediately, his was a duffle bag with duck tape almost completely covering the whole thing. Farkle found his a few minutes later since it was neon green. They walked off to find Mr. Matthews, hoping he was there already.

It was ironic how all Lukas wanted to do was sleep. Maybe it was the fact that he was homesick and couldn't wait to see his Mama again, or maybe he knew he'd be able to talk to Farkle until he fell asleep, he didn't know.

Mr. Matthews drove them both home, Lukas was grinning from ear to ear before falling asleep against the window of Mr. Matthews's car window.

"Is he seriously sleeping after waking up from a coma?" Mr. Matthews asked, glancing back at them.

"He didn't sleep on the plane, sir," Farkle said.

"You both have a lot of homework, you know?" Mr. Matthews said gently.

"We know sir, I'll help him," Farkle said.

"Will someone help you?" He asked.

"I dont need help, sir. I understand what has to be done," Farkle said.

For the rest of the car ride, it was quiet, except for Lukas' soft snores. Farkle said goodbye to Lukas as he got out of the car.

"Mr Matthews sir, would life had been different if he hadn't woken up? Or if something seriously bad happened?" Farkle asked him the question that was gnawing at the back of his head.

"Of course, Farkle. Life would've definitely been different," Corey said. "He could've been paralyzed from the waist down or from the neck down. Maybe he could've died, but do you really want to think about that? Be happy he survived. I am, Riley and Maya are, Topanga is happy. Even Janitor Harley is happy that he woke up, Zay is-"

"But sir, I know everyone would be happy that Lukas survived, I just cant get my mind to stop thinking about the what if's," Farkle cut him off.

Corey looked at him through the rearview mirror. "Farkle, everything is going to be okay now."
