Farkle woke up, his head on Lukas' chest. He didn't want to get up.

"Morning Lukas. I still miss you, and I still want you to wake up. I miss you wrapping your arm around me and telling me that everything would be okay. I need you to wake up, you are my silver lining when my week was crap. I want you to wake up so you can still be my silver lining. I shouldn't've let you ride the bull. I miss our nighttime conversations over the phone. I miss staring into your intelligent eyes.

"I really need you to come back to me, i need to be able to know that everything will be okay, even though it wont be okay. I just really need you right now, and I need to hear you say everything will be okay... God I sound desperate, well I am, but i just really need you to come back to me."

Farkle got out of the bed and noticed the fresh pair of clothes on one of the uncomfortable hospital chairs. There was a note on the clothes.

'Dear Farkle,

Thank you for staying with Lukas. When I come to check on him, i see you in there, talking to him, and I appreciate it alot. Honestly kid, you need to change out of those clothes, and a shower.

Also, the things you say to him are the sweetest. I hope the two of you work out.

--- Pappy Joe'

The tears started streaming down Farkle's cheeks. He walked out of the hospital room and found Pappy Joe on a chair outside the room.

"Joe? Sir, I want to thank you for the clothes. And for letting me stay in Texas, It really means a lot." Farkle told the man.

"How about you go take that shower, then the two of us can go get something to eat. I'm sure you'd like some fresh air, and I want to get to know my grandson's boyfriend," Pappy Joe said.

Farkle nodded. "Yes sir,"

One of the nurses allowed Farkle to take a shower, then he changed into the clothes Pappy Joe brought him. They were a little baggy, but that didn't matter, he felt better in these clothes than he had in the other clothes. He walked back towards Lukas' room and found Pappy Joe in the room. He leaned on the door frame and listened in.

"...Lukas, that boy loves you to the ends of the earth, and I know you love him too. All the letters you send to me, describing this boy, you're in love. I know you'll come back to us. Just, don't take too long," Pappy Joe said. "Please don't take too long."

Farkle smiled, a tear trailing down his cheek. He wiped it away and knocked on the doorframe, letting Pappy Joe know he was there.

"Farkle, you heard that didn't you?" Pappy Joe smiled.

"You have a way with words, sir," Farkle said, looking at his feet.

"What's the matter, son?" Pappy Joe asked

"I'm afraid that he's not going to wake up," Farkle admitted.

"Lets talk about it over breakfast," Pappy Joe said, wrapping an arm around Farkle.

Pappy Joe lead Farkle to one of the most popular cafes in the small town. It wasn't crowded at the moment. After ordering they sat in comfortable silence, waiting for their orders.

"So, you're afraid he's not going to wake up?" Pappy Joe asked.

"I know he's going to wake up, we're going to take over the world together, but in order for us to do it together, he has to wake up," Farkle said. "But, I'm just so afraid that he's not going to wake up, sir."

Pappy Joe nodded. "You know he'll wake up,"

"I know sir, it's just tha-" He was cut off by Pappy Joe's phone ringing.

Pappy Joe answered his phone, his face lighting up visibly. After the conversation ended, he stood.

"What was it?" Farkle asked

Pappy Joe grinned. "He's awake,"
