Ah reum's POV

The managers and I waited 20 minutes, until there was a knock at the door. They refused to talk about anything until Kris appeared and he did.

He entered looking blank and expressionless as he sat down opposite me at the table.

"Ah, you're here. Now we can begin." The manager sat closest to me spoke.

"You both know why you are here.. if not I'll briefly explain. Kris, this is Kim Ah-Reum, your girlfriend-" the manager pointed at me and at this Kris started coughing and choking.

"She- is not my g-girlfriend." He gasped through rough intakes bf breath.

The manager glared at him. "That is for us to decide." He snarled.

After regaining steady breath, Kris sat with his arms crossed and a angry look plastered on his face.

"Anyway as I was saying, Ah Reum will be your girlfriend." He turned to me. "Your job is to successfully behave like any girlfriend would. And do this excessively so it's believable. We as the managers and Exo will work together to stage scenarios in public for the two of you to be seen doing couple stuff."

I nodded my head as he spoke, signalling I understood. Glancing up at Kris, I noticed his lips were pulled into a thin line and he sat glaring at the desk. He made no move to acknowledge anything being said to him.

"I will not let this happen." He spoke through clenched teeth.

The managers exhaled sharply and all visibly grew tired of Kris.

"Kris." Began a manager, rubbing his temples as he sat forward. "We have been through this a million and one times. You are not in the position to decide for yourself. You signed your contract when you entered SM and we are responsible for maintaining the promises YOU made on that sheet of paper you signed."

Kris's eyes lit up at the mention of the contract and he sat forward, smiling as though he knew something the managers did not.

"That 'sheet of paper' I signed also stated I wasn't allowed a girlfriend and if I had one no-one was to know about it." Kris gestured to me."So why would I break that promise?" He smiled sweetly, sitting back and looking mischievous as he did so.

"Well we managed to talk the heads of SM into this plan and they agreed." replied a manager, smiling just as sweetly back.

Kris exhaled angrily and sank in his chair, finally defeated. The air was tense and thick due to the suspense and anger of the conversation.

I decided it was my cue to speak.

"Uh, Ahjussi's?" They all looked at me like they had forgotten I was even there.

"When do we" I gestured between me and Kris. "Stop seeing each other?"

Kris sat up straighter. "Yeah when do we?" He added.

"We don't know that yet and we can't decide now. We have to see how the media reacts to Ah Reum." Replied one of the managers

"Plus I doubt its even possible to have a set date to end this." Another added thoughtfully.

"It'll have to be decided as we go on." They concluded. I nodded understanding. Honestly, I don't really care when it ended, and this may sound extremely selfish but I wanted the money. For both myself and my mother to live comfortably.

If possible Kris got more agitated and huffed in his seat.

The managers pulled out a sheet and slid one across the desk to me and another to Kris.
