-Samaru's P.O.V-
Not many people have come to see me this week. Only Naruto, Kakashi and Sakura. They told me that everyone was waiting until I felt better, but I knew it was bullshit. They were all scared. Even if they didn't want to admit it.
"Good morning." Sakua sang as she entered the tent. I didn't answer her, just stared at the celling. I heard her sigh and place a few pills next to me, along with a glass of water. I sat up with a bit of a struggle and took them. I gulped down the water, swallowing the pills. I distantly gazed at the opening of the tent. I stopped speaking on the second day I'd been here. I was too sad. I thought that if I spoke, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from crying, "You've gotta talk to me sooner or later." Sakura gave me a gentle nudge and helped me stand. We walked to the entrance of my tent, and she held back the tarp so that we could get out easier. I tried not to look at all the destruction that I had helped cause. Instead I kept my eyes on the dusty ground.
"Hey Sakura!" A chipper voice said, making me glance up. Lee ran towards us, Naruto, Kiba, Akamaru and Shikamaru on his tail. I avoided their gaze as I looked away.
"Hi guys." The pink head smiled at them. I felt eyes on me as the four talked. I took a look at all of their faces, and it was none of them. My eyes wandered around the area, only seeing everyone trying to help and build new buildings. I sniffed the air, catching a whiff of something that surprised me. I changed forms, making everyone gasp, and started stumbling along. I kept my nose to the ground, searching for the person who had been watching me.
"Samaru! What are you doing?!" Sakura yelled, making me stop and look back at her. My gaze then drifted to Akamaru. I barked, making him wag his tail and join me in my search.
"A-Akamaru?!" Kiba shouted.

Samaru's back?! I peaked around the wall I had been hiding behind, staring at her as she clung to this pink haired girl. Is she hurt or something? I was tempted to run over and say hi, but her head lifted from the ground and she started looking around. I quickly hid myself by pushing my back against the wall. I've been wondering why she saved me since she left, and it's been killing me. I need to get an answer. Of course no one else knew she did, so she was the only one who could answer.
"Samaru! What are you doing?!" I heard the pink head yell. I froze and sniffed the air. Is that a... wolf? Oh yeah! Samaru can do that! I then heard a bark.
"A-Akamaru?!" A male shouted. What am I gonna do?! I have to run! And I tried, but I ran into another wall. I suddenly heard a low growl that sent shivers down my spine. Then there was another. I turned to see a grey wolf nipping at a big white dog. The wolf glared at him, then walked towards me, seemingly having a bit of trouble. Her glare didn't soften as the wolf grabbed the collar of my shirt with her teeth and dragged me out of the small alley I had been hiding in.
Idiot. My eyes widened as Samaru's voice bounced around in my head.
"You can talk to me just by thinking?!" I exclaimed, "You're so cool!" She put me down and changed back into a human. Right when she was about to fall, the girl with pink hair helped her. I stared up in admiration.
Can you hear me?! I thought excitedly. Samaru rolled her eyes and started walking, making the pinky follow.
Yes. I heard clearly. I jumped around in excitement as I ran to catch up. Once both of them noticed that I was walking beside them, Samaru ignored me. But the other didn't.
"What's your name?" The pink haired one asked.
"I'm Akio!" I said with enthusiasm.
"It's nice to meet you Akio! My names Sakura." She smiled down at me, "And this is Samaru." She gestured to the wolf girl.
"Oh I know." I said matter of factly, "I met her about three weeks ago." Sakura tilted her head, then turned to Samaru, who was staring at the ground in what seemed like shame. Sakura's blue-green eyes looked angry as she looked to the one I admired, "She saved me from this man that wanted to kill me! He was big and tall! With lots of scary piercings too!" I explained like it happened just yesterday.
"She... saved, you?" Sakura asked, surprised. Samaru growled, brown hair covering her eyes. I crossed my arms and glared at the girl.
"Yes she saved me! You shouldn't act so surprised! Samaru is a good person, she hasn't done anything to hurt anyone!" I shouted, making a chuckle come from the brunet, "What's so funny?" I asked, head tilted. It took a moment, but eventually, she spoke.
"Shut up, kid. You don't know a thing about me. Stop acting like you do." Her voice was cold and bitter, but it only made me smile widely and laugh. Samaru shot me a glare, but I only ignored it.
"Yeah well whatever. You're not my sensei. You can't tell me what to do." I stuck my tongue out. I heard a sigh, then more footsteps. I opened my eyes to see them walking off again.
"So you won't talk to any of us, but you will talk to a little kid?! You don't make any sense." Sakura complained loudly. I was about to run after them, but I stopped. I smiled as I thought about what she said. Samaru wouldn't talk to anyone but me huh? I guess since she's in the village, I'll just visit her later.

"The nerve you have. Dragging a child in front of so many people!" Tsunade scolded. I just stared out the window as she yelled at me, "Then telling her to shut up?! I know that Sasuke hurt you, but if you want to stay in this village, then I suggest you become a bit more friendly."
"Who said I wanted to stay?" I spat bitterly. The Hokage leaned back in her chair and rubbed her temples. I didn't listen as she started to lecture again. My mind was filled with too many things to care about what she was saying. I kept replaying the day that Sasuke almost killed me. I'll be able to walk in a few days, so that's exciting I guess. That's when Itachi broke through all this Sasuke bullshit. If he was here, maybe I wouldn't be in this place. Oh Itachi.... Why'd you have to go and die?
"Samaru? Are you listening?" Tsunades voice rung through my head as I lifted my eyes to meet hers, "Are you alright?" She asked, "You look troubled." Her glare immediately faded when she saw my eyes. I wasn't crying, but she could tell. I was in pain. Not physical pain either. My heart was hurting, "I know how it feels to lose the one you love." I didn't respond, "I can't imagine what you're going through. One thing is losing your parents, but then the one you love too? Then his brother, whom you feel strongly for, tries to kill you." I glared at the floor as she spoke, "But like I said, you need to become friendlier." At that, I stood. Chakra on the bottom of my feet, keeping me from falling.
