-Itachi's P.O.V-
*Twenty One Years Old*
I sat patiently by the small pond I had found, waiting to hear her soft voice. To see her beautiful smile. To wipe away the tears that will stream down her cheeks when she hears what I'm about to tell her. Just thinking about it, I wanted to kill myself. She didn't deserve to be treated in such a way. She deserved love and affection, not hate. I knew she was in love with me. I also knew that her dream was to become strong. Stronger than any ninja. She couldn't have both, which makes my heart ache. Not many things can do this, but I've known her for so long, she's become the only thing that makes me smile. I'm starting to think that she only really smiles around me too. And I feel terrible, taking that away from her. But this is for her own good.
I heard a stick snap from behind me, causing me to stand and turn towards the trees. All was silent, until she emerged from the trees. I saw her face turn from emotionless to concerned in less than a second as she rushed forward.
"What's wrong?" Samaru asked, pointing at my face. I hadn't even realized that tears had spilled over while I was waiting. When I didn't answer, she hugged me. I put my head down, not hugging her back. I felt her stiffen when I just stood there, not doing anything, "Itachi...." She said slowly, pulling away from the hug, "Did... did something happen?" I shook my head, trying to stop the tears. I made eye contact with her after a second. Her breathing got faster as I starred into her icy blue orbs, "Itachi say something."
"I don't feel the same." I finally spoke. Samaru looked confused.
"What?" She asked. Why's she making this so hard? Why didn't she just read my mind?
"I don't love you." I stood tall as I said it. I could see her face change as the words came out, "I never have, and I never will." My gaze hardened as I put my emotionless act on. She looked confused, then sad.
"I don't believe you." Her voice was quiet, but so much strain was held beneath her words, "You could've just left me there, or killed me. But you didn't. You took me with you. You cared for me. You said that you wouldn't let anything hurt me.... That has to mean something...."
"You were a child. I wasn't going to leave you there in the rain. That's cruel." I said. Her eyes showed so much sadness that I felt I might cry along with her.
"This is cruel." There were no tears streaming down her face. There was no sobbing. There was only heart break and betrayal. I tried to reach out her, but she slapped my hand away and turned around, "I don't need you. You were only in my way anyways."
"Samaru. You have to keep him safe." She turned her head back and scoffed.
"Please. He's pretty much dead already." Was her response. There was no love in her voice now. She didn't have anything holding her back now, "I was planning on waiting. But I think after he takes you down. I'll kill him." Samaru started to walk again, leaving me standing there, "Oh, and Itachi." She stopped once more, then spoke, not even looking at me, "I hate you." My heart could've broken right there.

When Samaru came back, she didn't speak to any of us. Just walked up to us and stood beside me. She looked pained. Like she was about to cry. I knew she wasn't, but it was still a bit surprising.
"Aw. Looks like tough girls gonna cry." Karin laughed, making Samaru's eye twitch before lowering her head.
"Karin." I warned, making the red head huff and fall back. I took a step towards the sad girl, inspecting her face. She didn't meet my eyes, just kept staring at the ground. Something really bad must've happened. Once I got close enough, her expression quickly changed, as I did, her hand as she swung it at me, changing forms and charging. She swung again, barely missing as I ducked, then jumped up, landing on her.
"I HAVE TO KILL YOU!" She screeched. I tapped her shoulder lightly, but that only increased the anger, "HE NEEDS TO PAY!" Samaru changed forms and threw me off of her, breathing roughly. I could see her eyes glaze over as she fell to the ground. She... fainted?
"What was that all about?" Suigetsu asked. I didn't answer, just walked over to the body on the ground, feeling for a pulse. She still has one, and it's strong. Thank God.
"Jugo, carry her. She's unstable. If she tries to attack you, knock her out. If you can't get her down by just doing that, I give you permission to kill her." I said, staring at her. My eyes darted around quickly, wondering what was happening.

"Jugo, carry her. She's unstable. If she tries to attack you, knock her out. If you can't get her down by just doing that, I give you permission to kill her." Sasuke said. I had sent a clone out to everyone so that I didn't actually have to interact, but I feel that I must confront him now that I've heard his terrible words. I made my clone disappear, hearing a gasp.
"Am I just a doll to you? A test subject?" I asked from behind my tree. I was still torn up about Itachi, but that didn't matter now. Or, it shouldn't. I looked tough on the outside. But on the inside, I was slowly snapping. Falling. Breaking....
"Come out." Sasuke's voice demanded. I just scoffed in amusement, making my voice go all over the place. It was a Mind Jutsu.
"I will, if you can find me." I said around the forest.
"Samaru. Don't make me hurt you, damnit." He growled.
"Oh no, Sasuke. Don't make me hurt you." I dead-panned. I did a hand sign, shurikin shooting from where all the voices were coming from. I heard a squeal, "I didn't hit any vital spots. Stop screaming." I said to Karin, who I could feel was crying her eyes out.
What is this? Suigetsu thought, Sasuke didn't tell me she could do any of this....
"I thought you would've at least told Suigetsu that I was strong." My voice a bit quieter as I stepped out of my hiding spot. Sasuke and I had a small starring contest as I stepped closer, "You don't have to worry about me attacking." I said, "I won't kill you until your brother is dead." I starred at the ground in anger and sadness, receiving a small nod from the Uchiha.
"Let's go kill him then."
