Attacking The Leaf

-Samaru's P.O.V-

I took a deep breath as we got ready to storm the Leaf.

"You don't seem like the type to be nervous, Samaru." Pein said from beside me. I only growled slightly and starred ahead, "I'd like you to scout out the premises before we go in." I nodded, jumping into a tree and hopping onto the wall surrounding the village. I activated my eyes and flickered my gaze over to village. I squinted at the Hokages building in wonder. I know that Tsunade is the 5th hokage, but was she the right person for the job? Sure she was powerful, but that didn't mean shit. 2 of the 3 legendary sannin. Orochimaru was dead, and now so was Jiraiya. When will this old hag go? Today maybe. I huffed as Nagato thought.

Show them that we're here. Make yourself noticeable. He thought. I understood his motive, so I did as told. I quietly walked around the wall, starring straight ahead. All was well until a certain pink head caught my attention. I growled as she laughed with all my old friends.

I wish Sasuke would just come back already.... Other than that, her mind was blank. I quickly jumped down, landing in front of the group, keeping my face hidden so they wouldn't know who I was.

"T-THE AKATSUKI!" One of them screamed, that's when Pein came in.

-Time Skip-

As Pein fought various people, I had fallen back. I was now sitting in a tree with a swing on it, next to the academy. I bit my nail as I watched in boredom. Suddenly, one of the Pein's spotted a small child near by. I smirked as I imagined the child dying. I looked over the poor soul, and that's when I froze. Is that... the girl from my dream? She's real? I just shook my head, focusing somewhere else. A high pitched scream broke out, and I felt my heart ache. Come on Samaru. It's just a stupid kid.... Who doesn't have any parents.... I groaned and hopped down, walking slowly to the scene. When Pein was about to hurt the little one, that's when I jumped into action. I stood before him, hand raised, making him freeze under my jutsu.

"Move." Pein said.

"You said that we were getting the Nine Tails. Not killing innocent children." My voice was flat yet firm.

-Akio's P.O.V-

I covered my head in fear as the big man with orange hair ran at me. I didn't want to die yet! I waited for him to hit me, but the painful sensation never came.

"Move." Said the evil man.

"You said that we were getting the Nine Tails. Not killing innocent children." A girly voice said, making me look up slowly. My eyes widened as a tall woman stood in front of me, wearing a long black and red cloak, just like the mans. She held her hand in front of her, seemingly stopping the evil one.

"Traitor!" He yelled, making me flinch. I saw the womans lips form a smirk before he was thrown into the air. He hit the ground with such impact that it cracked under his weight. I gasped slightly and fell over.

"I was told I could kill you. Why not start now." Her voice was cold, but oh so admiring. Her strength was incredible as she beat up the big old mean dude. When she stood up, her long brown hair whipped around. She was now starring at me. Her big blue eyes were narrowed as she looked over me. I didn't feel any fear towards her as I ran and hugged her legs. I was immediately pushed off, but I didn't care. I just smiled my toothy smile and thanked her a million times.

"Thanks ma'am!" I hollered, making her tense. Her expression changed from angry to adorably confused. That's when I felt something I've never felt before. I felt her heart beating with mine. Hers! I wasn't even next to her! I was only smiling at her! Wait.... Is this my jutsu?! OH YEAH!, "FINALLY!" I yelled, changing forms and jumping around. Then I felt her heart stop as she gulped. I turned towards her and tilted my husky head, "What's wrong ma'am?" I asked, trotting towards her. Her face immediately went stoic as she glared at me.

"Stay away from me." She said, changing into an animal herself. My jaw dropped as I starred. She only growled, so I playfully got into a stance and wiggled my butt in the air.

-Samaru's P.O.V-

A million things raced through my mind at the moment. The one little girl that I just happen to save, turns out to be able to shift too?! I watched as she copied my movements. I was tempted to pounce, but she didn't know anything, so I just changed into a human and turned to leave.

"WAIT MA'AM!" The girl yelled, running towards me. She huffed and changed forms, sitting and grabbing my ankle. I shook her off, almost kicking her, "What's your name?" She asked, standing with stars in her eyes. I then smirked playfully.

"Depends, who's asking." I folded my arms and closed my eyes, lifting my chin into the air. I could hear people screaming for help all over the place, but I chose to ignore them.

"I AM THE MIGHTY AKIO! AND I DREAM TO BE THE STRONGEST NINJA EVER!" She shouted, saluting. I opened my eyes and stared in wonder.

"Well Akio. My name is Samaru, and I too had the same dream once." My voice was softer than normal as I crouched down to her height.

"Cool! What's your dream now ma'am?" The question was full of curiosity, but I couldn't tell her my real dream. I guess I could tell her an old one.

"One of my dreams a while back was to be with someone forever." I said, patting her head. She giggled and held my wrist. I shook my head violently as I stood, making her hands fall, "That was before that person died." I couldn't start being soft now. Akio's eyes widened as she stared at me with a pained expression. I just sighed and started walking again.

"W-where are you going...?" She squeaked. I turned and saw tears building up. I gulped and screamed inwardly. I can't deal with this!

"Somewhere." I said.

"C-can't you stay here?!" Akio pipped up, putting a fist to her chest. I softened my gaze only slightly.

"No, I can't."

"Well why not?" Her hands went to her hips as she showed her little attitude. I chuckled mentally at the sudden mood change. Been there, done that.

"A lot of people here don't like me." I explained.

"Then just beat 'em up like you did with that guy!" She pointed to Pein. I was about to respond, when we were both pushed away. I felt something snap as I went flying.
