"This shit is bananas: B-A-N-A-N-A-S!"
I rolled my eyes and turned the obnoxious radio down. I glared over at my best friend in the passenger seat.
"Will you shut up? It's seven in the morning," I groaned.
"Hey! That was my song," Wade pouted childishly.
"This is why I don't give you rides to school. Now where does Peter live?"
"Hmm, left here. Go to the next neighborhood. Take a right, second house to the left," he directed. "Why don't we pick up Alex too?"
I shrugged, "Call and ask."
"Cool, I'll use your phone," he grinned and grabbed my phone from its place on the car charger.
"Hey!" I said swerving a bit trying to grab my precious property from his hands.
"No phone while driving!" Wade giggled before going through my phone. I rolled my eyes again.
"Ooh, a text from Mr. Barton?" Wade said smugly.
"Wade," I warned.
"I knew you liked him," he laughed, "How old is he?"
"Late twenties."
"Ooh, fuck me. I'd be jealous if I didn't have Petey. Everyone needs a daddy every now and then," Wade smirks and nudges my arm. I looked at him in disgust.
"Wade Winston Wilson! How dare you! You perv!" I yelled, but couldn't fight the smile on my face because yeah. Wade's so stupid it's funny.
"What? You know you want someone to bend you over and-"
"Wade!" I rolled down the window, "My friend is a perverted freak!"
Wade laughed and rolled down his window. He stuck his head out and started yelling too.
"Pietro wants Clint's co-"
I tapped on the brakes causing him to slam his head into the front frame of the window. He groaned and rubbed his forehead before giving me the finger.
"Fuck you, Maximoff," he laughed, doing a pathetic attempt at my accent.
"That was awful," I laughed, stopping the car.
"Why are we stopped?"
"Um, do pick up your boyfriend?" I said in a duh tone. We were stopped at the end of his driveway and watched the brunette come bopping out of the house and to the car.
"Petey!" Wade squealed as Peter opened the back door of my car.
"Hey, Wade," Peter laughed as he closed the door and strapped in.
"Alex said we can pick him up!" Wade cheered.
"Oh, cool," Peter chimed in, "Are you guys dating?"
I looked in the rearview mirror at the younger boy and raised an eyebrow.
"No?" I said more like a question. Peter looked like he didn't believe me. Before I even got another word out, Wade cut in.
"He already has a daddy!"
"Wade!"
"A what?" Peter laughed.
"Nothing!" I groaned.
Peter looked at us like we were perverted freaks and Wade was grinning like one.
"He likes a man that he babysits for," Wade informed.
"Oh, cool," Peter shrugged. My eyes widened and I looked at both of them like they were crazy.
"Why are you guys acting like this is a normal thing?" I asked a bit irritated. It wasn't that I was mad at them. I just wanted them to stop joking about it because if they found out I really did kiss Clint, he'd be going to jail. I saw Peter shrug from my peripheral.
"It doesn't bother me much. Plus, I've been hanging out with Alex lately and I don't even think he's that into you," he said before adding, "No offense."
"'No offense' doesn't make it less offensive, Parker," I said rolling my eyes.
"Hey, be nice to my Petey," Wade threatened emptily before going back to the conversation, "If Alex isn't into Pietro, who is he interested in?"
"That tall guy on the swim team with the long, black hair?" Peter said thinking out loud.
"Levi?" I questioned.
"Yeah, him! He's hot, right?" Peter asked causing both Wade and I to look back at him. Why would he be asking me if I think Levi's hot?
"I'm going to let you rethink what you just said before I have to go K word some people," Wade told him in a fake, overly excited voice.
Peter reddened in the face, "Not like that, but y'know? I just thought-"
"Thought what?" I asked, pulling into Alex's driveway. He wasn't outside yet.
"I thought since you and Wade are always talking about this babysitter guy that you didn't like Alex and I didn't want him to get hurt-"
"He kissed me! I'm not forcing him into anything," I said defensively.
Peter bit his lip and looked down at his lap. I sighed, ready to apologize to the quiet boy, before the car door opened and Alex slid in beside Peter.
"Hi, guys," he squeaked.
No one responded. I just pulled out of the driveway and took of towards the school.

Just when I thought my school day couldn't get any slower, it did. Sitting in my Calculus class with the seconds drawing long. I zoned out for a moment before black painted finger nails were being snapped in front of my face.
"Pietro? What's up with you?" My sister asked concerned. She sat beside me in this class. We were supposed to be working on a worksheet in groups, but everyone was just talking to their friends.
"Clint's son went to the hospital yesterday," I responded monotonously.
"I heard. Is he okay?" She wondered. I just nodded. When she noticed I wasn't going to talk again, she sighed and tried again.
"So, our birthday is coming up," she started.
"Yay," I cheered dully, letting my head fall to the desk.
"You want to go look for apartments after school?"
I laughed numbly and turned my head so I could see her from my resting position on the desk.
"Is this real?" I asked.
"I know," she smiled, picking up her pencil to twirl around her fingers, "I never thought we'd make it either."
"Finally getting out of that house," I said relieved.
"You think," she put her pencil down and stared directly at me, "You think Mother would come visit us once we move out?"
I furrowed my brow in thought. Maybe we could try to get in contact with our Mother after we've escaped Father. After all, he's the reason she left. Wanda and I look at pictures of her all the time in our old scrapbooks. Wanda happens to look just like her except for her eye color. Wanda has my Father's brown eyes and I have my Mother's blue ones. I didn't realize how much I missed her until now.
"I sure hope so," I responded with a faint smile.
