They said I didn't really belong here. Always mucking up. How could a screw up like me, become a lifeguard, save people's lives, and fall in love? Very easily actually. My name is Jayne. I met the love of my life, Harries, through a baby wobbegong. But how should I start this? I might as well start at the beginning with Harries. Maybe that would be the best idea. This would make more sense if it was told in his point of view. Don't you think? Yeah, let me stop rambling and give you the first chapter, hmm?
HARRIES' P.O.V:
I did a Tarzan yell, as I was about to go into the kiddie's pool to remove a baby shark.
"Just waiting on Jane now." I said as I put one foot in the water. Suddenly the shark turned toward me.
"Ah, I'm getting out of the water." I laughed, as I jumped out of the water. The next thing I know, this girl with brown hair and astonishing light brown eyes, wearing a white sundress, with a baby blue bikini underneath, walked straight into the kiddie's pool, and walked over to me. She leant over, and grabbed the bucket that I had tried to use to catch the shark. She pulled it from my hands, and placed it in the water. The baby wobbegong probably became curious, and swam toward it. The girl cautiously stepped behind it, and then put her hands around its jaws, and placed it in the box. The crowd that had gathered started to clap, as the girl picked up the box, and walked out of the kiddie's pool to the break on the rocks, and placed the wobbegong in there, while Deano and myself just stood there and watched in shock.
After she placed the tiny shark in the water, she came back with the bucket and gave it to me.
"You might want to close your mouth, you might catch some nasty flies or fish, if you keep it like that." She whispered, as Deano and I were in complete shock. She just picked up a baby wobbegong, with no protective gear, and no fear. No one I know could possibly do that. Something was definitely wrong with this girl.
"Who are you?" I heard Deano ask. The girl turned to Deano, her brown hair with light blonde highlights whipped around her shoulders.
"My name is Jayne. I'm a marine animal handler at the local marine park and rescue, so I know a thing or two about how to handle something like this. You are?" she asked. Now I understood why she had no fear, she dealt with bloody Great Whites, on a DAILY. BASIS.
"Deano." he introduced, as he stuck out his hand. She shook it, and then turned to me.
"Harries." I said, still partly in shock that she could so such a thing. Even Matt Dee, wouldn't go near that thing.
"Well Deano, Harries. It was nice meeting you both, but I did promise my little sister a walk along the beach. I might see you two around." she said, as she walked up to a little girl with a toothless grin, with brown hair like hers, except with blue eyes, took her hand and started to walk along the beach. The swell was up. It was only a matter of time before the next incident.
3 HOURS LATER:
I was on my lunch break, I was about to take a bite out of my sandwich when a little girl about 5 years old, crying her eyes out. I recongised her as the girl that was with Jayne.
I turned to her.
"Hey darling, my name's Harries. Do you have a sister named Jayne?" I asked her, as I crouched down and got onto her level.
Her crying started to quieten, as she looked at me and nodded her head.
"Hey there sweetie." I smiled, something must have clicked in her head, as she probably heard her sister say something before.
"Hawwies!" she cried, as she slapped my nose. I smiled.
"That's right! I'm Harries!" she then started to cry again, and then grabbed one of my fingers, and dragged me to the stairs. She then dragged me down the stairs, and then out of the tower onto the promenade. This made me confused.
