Eleny's POV:
Ugh practice sucked so much. I regret coming because now I'm going to be sore for the next week. I waited in the pool until Scott yelled at me to get out and then I rose into the frigid, misty air...so much for warm, summer weather right? I was about to walk into the girl's side of the locker room when I heard my name called by someone behind me.
"Hey Eleny, wait up!" I turned around to see Harry, the cute boy with the chestnut curls, looking back at me with his emerald eyes. He was honestly one of the most beautiful boys I had ever seen. This is like the most he has ever talked to me...I mean two conversations in one week, let alone in one day? It's gotta be a record.
"Hey, Harry," I replied, trying to sound casual and not showing how nervous I was.
"I'm not doing anything today, do you want to hang out?" Harry asked me and he actually looked kind-of nervous. I think that it was more awkward for him than anything. I mean, it's a little weird to ask someone that you hardly know to hang out. However, I'm kinda lame and had nothing to do later in the day, so why not?
"Um sure. I don't think I'm busy. What do you want to do?" I asked him, wondering if he had been planning this out for a while or if he legit had nothing better to do with his life.
"Ummm...I didn't really think about it. Do you want to come over to my house around 10? I can give you my number and address." He shifted his feet awkwardly and I could tell that this was awkward for him. Why would he be doing something that was so unlike him and something that requires him to take a step out of his comfort zone? He never mixes with people that are not in his circle, so why would he do it now? I'm sure that he had other friends he could've hung out with. Nonetheless, I had nothing better to do today and it would be nice to have another friend if it worked out. I mean, maybe I could become part of his circle.
"Ya, that would be great. Can you put your number in?"
We switched phones and I typed in my name, Eleny Dixon, and put a bear emoji next to it. I have a thing for bears, they're like my spirit animal lol. I smiled and said "I'll see you then Harry!" as I handed his phone back to him. I walked into the girl's locker room and smiled to myself. I had never really been invited to guy's house before and to be honest, I was kind of excited. This was going to be an interesting day.
