Why do I find it so hard to write constantly?
~~~~~~
I awoke fairly early in the morning, but that wasn't a good thing. I found myself lying in bed, staring at the ceiling and thinking over everything that had happened. I had been told I was a witch before being told I was also a representative for Ireland. I wasn't sure how to take that really.
"Ava, you should get up now," a voice said and I looked over to see Hermione shrugging her cloak on.
I sighed, "Alright," and swung my legs over the side of the bed. I wasn't prepared for today at all.
After I got dressed I quickly followed the last girl down to the common room and saw Dylan sitting next to a window. As soon as he saw me he stood up and made his way over.
"Ava," he greeted, giving me a small smile that I didn't return, "we should be on our way now."
"Fine," I sighed, starting towards the exit.
Dylan hurried to catch up and we were soon in the Great Hall again, sitting in roughly the same place as before. I quickly took some toast and smothered it with jam, also taking some milk and pouring it into my cup.
"What do you want?" I demanded after noticing he had been staring at me for the past few minutes.
"Nothing," he said turning to his own food, "I was just thinking about how much you have changed, is all."
I glanced at him quickly and registered the fact that he had changed as well. His hair seemed to have bleached a bit in the sun, not that it came often to Wales, and compared to most of the children sitting around us, his arms seemed thicker, as if day upon day in the farm for the past almost fifteen years of farm work had done it's magic. I also noticed that had a distinct splash of freckles across is nose and, all in all, he suited himself well.
"Ava," yet another voice said, this time from behind me. I turned back, not expecting to see Alistair and Arthur standing behind me with kind smiles on their faces.
"What now?" I snapped.
"We just wanted to come and talk to you," Arthur said, his smile dropping somewhat into a lopsided frown.
"Well you have talked to me, now go away, people are staring," I said, taking a deep breath to keep control of my anger.
"If that is what you want," Alistair sighed before the two went back to their table.
"Ava, they are trying to get along with you, the least you could do is try to get along with them," Dylan stated, taking a bite out of his toast.
I stayed silent after that, just eating my toast quietly. I wasn't about to let them get to me. I wasn't just going to open up and show my kind, good-hearted side to them after what they did. I loved them, I really did, but I felt as if my whole world was being turned on it's head and I didn't like it. I didn't like all the sudden change and knowing that some day soon I was going to be on my own again.
"First years' timetables!" Professor McGonagall announced, causing me to look up to find a piece of paper being waved in my face. I took the paper and analyzed it for a few moments before thanking her and standing.
I ran back to my dorm and took the books I would need for the morning, shoved them into my bag and made my way to my first lesson by following the other students. When we arrived at our very first Charms lesson I chose to sit near the back, but much to my irritation Dylan, Arthur and Alistair came and sat near me and by the time I had gathered my things to move the Professor had walked in and I was stuck.
Throughout the whole lesson I had to put up with the three of them glancing at me and occasionally trying to make small talk, which I didn't return. It was irritating me to the point where all I wanted to do was turn on them and shout at them to stop, but as we were in a class, that would have earned me a detention which I certainly didn't want.
"Could you leave me alone?" I demanded after the lesson, my bag strap clutched tightly in my hand.
"Why?" Alistair asked, looking a bit taken aback at the outburst.
"You're annoying and I don't want to talk to you, that's why. Respect my wishes if you would and maybe I'll respect yours okay? It's a two way thing you see," I said, holding my head high.
"Fine," Arthur sighed, "however, we will be back to talk to you. That is our wish, you see. That you will stop trying to avoid us and discuss things with us, rather than ignoring us."
"Whatever," I mumbled, turning and rolling my eyes as I left the class room.
As I stormed away I thought for a second that maybe I should just get it all over with right now, but that plays against everything I had just said and so I stalked off to my next lesson with Dylan following from a safe distance... Or so he thought.
I'M SO SORRY FOR NOT POSTING IN A LONG TIME! I've been incredibly stressed and busy this year, what with all the studying for THE MOST IMPORTANT EXAM OF MY LIFE and all the other things. But I am here now and I shall continue to write chapters until I finish at least this book, if not I will carry on and do a sequel! :o Maybe.
Again, I am very sorry, but I'll just keep going and maybe I can get there eventually!
