Next chapter! Oh my, here it is.

"Ava, breakfast's ready!" David called, knocking on my door before leaving, probably to the kitchen.
I groaned, throwing a hand over my eyes and sat up slowly. I was calm until I relaxed and remembered my shamrock, patting all around me frantically, finally feeling its soft leaves under my fingers. I plucked it from my bed and pulled the chain it was attached to around my neck, sighing when I felt it fall lightly next to the vial of soil.
"What did you make?" I asked when I got to the kitchen, but instead of David I found a box of cereal, a blow and spoon, some milk and a note left on the table. The first thing I did was get myself some cereal and sit down before reaching for the note. When I opened it I saw a messy scrawl on it, explaining about how David had gone to work at the ministry in London.
I sighed and finished my cereal as quickly as possible, putting the dishes in the sink and going back to my room. I got dressed into my black skinny jeans, grey T-shirt and green army jacket as quickly as I could. I felt the sudden need to go out after about five minutes of wandering the house, so I slipped on my coat, grabbed my boots and left the house.
It really didn't take me long to get lost.
"Oh for **** sake!" I hissed, stopping in front of a pub.
I stood there for about two minutes before deciding to go inside and maybe have a drink.
The pub was nice, but very dirty and shabby. The bartender looked like a shrivelled up grape, but seemed approachable none the less. I went up to him and he smiled kindly.
"Aren't you a bit young to be coming to a place like this alone?" he asked, leaning over the counter slightly.
"I guess," I replied, looking around at all the strangely dressed people.
"So, what do you need?" he asked.
"Directions to my cousins house," I said quietly.
"Sure, where does he live?"
~~~~~~
"Finally, I'm back," I sighed, slipping my boots off and hanging my coat up.
I shuffled though the hall way, opening various doors, looking for the living room, which I eventually found. I immediately flicked on the TV, scrolling through channels until I found a familiar cartoon. I settled down after grabbing a cup of coffee and watched cartoons for a few hours until I heard a peculiar tapping sound.
Naturally I felt the need to find the source of the noise, so I stood up, muting the TV and listened hard. I heard it loudest next to the window so I pulled the thin curtain away slightly and nearly fell over at the sight of a prideful looking, tawny owl fluffing its feathers, waiting to be let in.
"What in the name of..." I asked myself trailing off as I looked closer.
It it's strong grip was a letter and I was pretty sure it was addressed to me, so I let it in. It flew over to the back of the sofa and dropped the letter onto the seat, refluffing it's feathers and taking off again.
I approached the letter with caution, poking it with a rolled up magazine to confirm that it was safe. When I was finally happy I picked it up and opened it carefully, pulling the thick letter from inside and reading the first sheet.
"Hogwarts? Witchcraft and wizardry? School?" I asked myself as I skimmed over the letter.
Suddenly there was a monumental bang as the front door slammed open and David sauntered in, dropping his things by the door and coming to find me in the living room.
"What's that?" he asked sitting next to me, peeking over my shoulder at the letter. "Oh, you got the letter! Excellent, now we can go and get your supplies and you can go!"
"What is this about?" I demanded waving the letter gently in his face.
"This means you're a witch!" David chirped.
"A what?"
So that seems like a good place to leave it, though I think it is less than last time. I found writing this chapter hard! Expect longer chapters later, when I am not forcing myself to write the hard bits. Please, comment and tell me what is good/bad about it and please mention any spelling/grammatical mistakes.
