Capture the Flag

I woke up around 7:35 a.m. to Percy (my half brother) "Maxi how have you've been?" He asks,

"I've been better." I say sitting up and running my hands through fringe.

"Why?"

"Nightmares." I explained and told him the dream, even the part about Nico,

"Come on it's breakfast!" Percy said trying to change the mood. I got changed and went the dinning pavilion. Percy and I caught up like how school went and monsters attacking us. Our school year was boring.

I finished up and headed to archery my first class. I'm not the best archer but, if I only had that weapon I wouldn't be dead, probably. After a half an hour I went to the sword arena. I was much better at swords then bows. I went up against Percy and won three out of four times. Then I had a sword fight with Nico.

 He struck first. I blocked it and jumped to the left when he swung. The second time I was recovering from the first swing and it gazed my check. A gust of wind carrying dust (what reason I have none) and toke it to my advantage and walked up behind Nico. When the dust died down I put my sword to his neck, "I think I won, don't you?" I bragged. 

Nico rolled his eyes at me "Bragging isn't cool you know." I shrug and teook of my armour and went to my cabin since I had a free period. I drew on my laptop and tablet that I brought. I drew Mount Olympus, I've only seen it in pictures. I drew it and colored it,

"That's really good." I heard a voice behind me which made me jump 50 feet high. I turn to see Nico, "It's only me." I turn back to my drawing and save it.

"So have any other dreams last night?" He asked I shook my head "Maxi I-i need to tell you something." He stuttered  as he sat next to me, "I-i really..." Before he could finish Percy walked in.

"Nico! Just the man I wanted to see wanna team up for capture the flag tonight?" He said oblivious to what was written on Nico's face, annoyance. He figured it out finally "Oh, were you two..." We both blushed violently

"N-no" I say, Percy shrugged and walked out, "What were you going to say?" I turned to Nico

"Nothing important," He got up and left.

I got up to go to Greek language class, I wasn't amazing at it. After that was dinner then capture the flag. I loaded up on carbs, I had a hogie, pretzels, lots of bread and pasta. It was going to be the Athena, Hephaestus, Apollo, Demeter and Ares cabins against Poseidon, Hades, Hermes, Dionysus, and Aphrodite cabins.

Chiron did his little speech thing blah blah, magical items are allowed blah blah blah. I was on defense and one kid from the Hermes I think his name was Jeffrey, I don't really know. Nothing entertaining happened until I saw the flag left to where ours was. Only two yards away it was a golden chance, but I knew it was a trap. It always was.

I took the chance anyway, I took out my dagger ταχύς or Swift in English and darted across the stream that separated the west and east side of the forest. I grabbed the blue flag belonging to Athena cabin. I almost made it across the stream when something sliced my upper arm. I turn to see a child of Ares, Clarisse. I duck the next swing and hit her helmet.

Monica came out of nowhere and had vines wrap around my legs "Yes Maxi, with plants" I laugh and cut the vines and knock Monica in the chest. She stumbled and fell on her face(Which was very funny),

"Sorry, I'll give you chocolate later." I say and walk of with the flag. I place it in our territory, a horn blew and everyone gathered Athena's cabin look glum and Poseidon cheering. Monica was holding her head and stomach, I do feel bad about knocking hear out. Nico congratulated me. After all that everyone went to go to the campfire or infirmary. That night was the second nightmare.
