Chapter 1

Akane's Pov

I hurried to kunugigaoka High School, my new school. I transferred to this school because I wanted to be independent somehow. Today I overslept and I forgot that I lived alone so I didn't  get to eat breakfast and make a bento.

Today is my first day of school. I ran and ran, as fast as I can until I tripped. I looked back and there was nothing there 'Why am I so clumsy?'

I stand up and looked at my phone, I slapped myself, finding out that it was still so early and that I ran and tripped for nothing, heck I was 2 hours early, I was sleepy and hungry at the same time not to mention I didn't even eat last night.

I arrived at school 30 mimutes after . When I arrived, there were still few students so I put my bag in my classroom and went to the forest nearby

3rd person's Pov

Akane went to the mountain, she has always wanted to go hiking but sadly her father is overprotective of her, since she is  the youngest child in her family and she is the only daughter. She has two older brothers and they are also overprotective.

Its even a miracle that she got to convince her father and brothers into letting her live alone.

She roamed around the mountain and reached the old building " So this is class 3-E's classroom" She whispered she stayed there for a while and explored the area once more. She saw a tall tree at the mountain top and went there.

She climbed the tree "Wow! The view is so wonderful" She said, looking at the trees around her, she saw the flick of birds and animals.  It was a wonderful view for her.

Excited to see more of the unexplored world of her life, she lost track of time and by the time she realized that, the bell already rang thus signaling the start of morning classes and to make matters worse, she couldn't climb down, she was too afraid.

She sat there, slightly trembling, teary-eyed. She tried to stop herself from crying and was about to fail "Eh~! There's a kitten stuck at the tree" A voice said, it came from the ground near the tree.

"I-I'm not a kitten!" She shouted, holding tightly to the trunk of the tree. Suddenly, the branch that she was sitting on brome and fell off, leaving her hanging and holding on to the trunk.

"HELP!!!!" She shouted, scared to fall off "Then let go" the red haired boy below shouted "But I'll fall"

"Exactly" She didn't  know what he was thinking but she felt like she should trust him so she let go "AHH!!!"

Akane closed her eyes ready to feel the cold, hard ground but it didn't come, instead she felt something warm and soft. She opened her eyes and saw the redhead.

Ba-bump

'Huh? What? W-what was that?' She questioned, blood rushed to her pale cheeks as the male was carrying her bridal style.

'What is this feeling'

"Your in class A and you skip class on your first day, unbelievable!" The teacher scolded, Akane apologized "I'm sorry"

"I'll  let you off the hook since your new here but there won't  be a next time"

Akane walked to her classroom, she opened the door and found her bag on her desk. She sat in the front row beside the window.

Flashback

"T-thank you for saving me" she bowed to the stranger who saved her from danger even if it was his idea to let go.

"No problem but that was really amusing" he laughed "It was not! I was scared and I thought I would die" Akane reasoned

"Haha, you remind me of a little kitten"

"But I am not a kitten, I am a human girl" She argued

"I know that. I'm  not dumb you know" he argued back "Your really interesting "

Akane furrowed her brows and looked away "I-I'll be taking my leave then, excuse me" she excused her blushing self from the unwinnable mini arguement.
'I forgot to ask his name' she suddenly remembered and looked back to ask him but he wasn't there anymore "Don't tell me" She started "It was a ghost!"

End of flashback

Akane's POV
Afternoon classes ended and I don't have a seatmate. I went to my shoe locker and I  changed my shoes.

"Eh~! Its Neko-chan" A voice said, It was a familiar voice and it came from outside, I looked over to where the voice came, it was the redhead " Oh its the ghost"

"Don't be like that neko-chan, I saved your life didn't I?" He cocked his head,a mischievous smile plastered on his face.

"What do you want?" I asked "Nothing, I simply wanted to give this back" He held in his hand my student ID. "And.... what's the catch?"

"Heh~! Neko-chan is not only interesting but she's also smart" he said, mischief could be seen in his eyes

Timeskip

It was alreary 1:00 in the morning yet I haven't slept a wink, 'Jeez, its all because of him that I'm not getting any sleep. He's face always in my head, and his voice, I can't belive its stuck in my head too' I thought as I remember what he wanted me to do "Be my girlfriend for one week"

I accepted besides its not like he'll do anything bad right, right? Why did I climb that stupidly tall tree anyway!? Uh, I can't do anything about it now, past is past, I have to worry about what'll happen tomorrow.

'At least I won't see him tomorrow' I thought, realizing that tomorrow is a weekend. I smiled and checked my phone, only to see a message tgat I didn't even want to see

From: Unknown
Message: Hey neko-chan~ Akabane karma here, wear a frilly dress tomorrow and meet me at the train station at 9. I'll be waiting

" So his name is Karma, Akabane Karma" I uttered and blushed "W-wait, why am I blushing" I covered my beat red fafe with my hands. I didn't know what was going on, I've never experienced this before. I closed my eyes and thought 'Maybe I'm' I blushed some more 'No way!"

'I'm hungry agan!?'

My stomach growled so I cooked my dinner and ate it, satisfying my hunger. I went to the bathroom to take a bath then slept and I traveled to dreamland.

"Akane" I was surtounded in darkness, nothing could be seen. The  there was a light, it was small but it was enough to let me see. "Akane-chan" a little boy said, I couldn't see his has nor his face "Akane-chan" another boy  appeared . "Who.. are you?" I asked, A tear dropped 'Why am I crying'  I touched my cheek, suddenly I got pulled down, there were hands holding my legs and they were pulling me to the darkness "No!" I tried to break free but it was no use, I got pulled in and the last thing I heard was "Goodbye"

"Ah!" I woke up, panting from the dream-er-nightmare I saw or dreamed. 'What was that?'
