Chapter 3

"Akane-chan!"

A boy's voice echoed, it sounded so familiar yet she couldn't remember who it was. It felt like something so close yet she couldn't reach it. Emotions welled in her head. Such a distant voice left her wanting to hear it more. "Akane-chan" she heard it again "Who are you?" She asked but she received no response "Please, tell me!" She yelled "Akane-chan you haven't changed"

"So you've forgotten me" It sounded menacing "Its not surprising, considering what has happened to you" Akane got confused 'Who is this person?' She thought 'Why do I feel like I've been abandoned?'

"Akane-chan" the voice started "Goodbye"

Akane woke up, panting. "Akane-sama!" Yelled a maid,Akane looked at her side, she saw her maid's face "What are you doing here?" She asked

"Your father sent me upon receiving the news about you fainting" She explained

"F-father did?" She gave a quizical look. As the maid nodded ,she gave Akane a worried look. The maid inhaled and exhaled "Akashi-sama told me to tell you that you'll have a guardian starting today"

"I see. Who is my guardian? And where are Akabane-kun and the others"

"I don't know who she is but your father does, he just told me that she's a girl. Your friends were told to go home since you've been unconcious for 2 days" She said

"Arigato, you can leave now. I'll be fine" Akane dismissed her, the maid bowed and left the room.

Akane scanned the room, she realized she was in the hospital. She sighed. She then tried to remember what had happened before you fainted. 'Oh right, it wasn't really a date'

She frowned and wondered why it felt painful after all she and Karma aren't even a real couple. It'll all be over after a week. "I'm just like a flower, frail and weak. Beauty is my only weapon but what can beauty do when I have no one to show it to" she uttered remembering a line from a book she read long ago.

The sun rose, creating a beautiful view. Shades of orange and red decorated the sky, birds chirped upon seeing the beautiful scenery. Trees swayed in the wind as the sakura petals danced.

"Beautiful" Akane uttered,she wondered why such a beautiful view could be seen at a place full of diseased people. Then she remembered what her mother said to her when she was about to leave the Akashi household

"Akane, the most beautiful things can be seen when one is sad, so when you ever feel lonely look up and smile, when you look at the beautiful view in front of you, you'll see the person who'll make you smile"

"A" she started "Akabane Karma" a blush spread across her face when she realized what she said. Her hands made there way to her mouth.

"If that happens then you already love with that person"

"Eh~Neko-chan is already awake" Akane turned to the door and saw the person who was on her mind "Akabane-kun"

She blushed and looked away "D-don't come in without permission"

"Then may I come in?" He asked, teasingly which made Akane blush even more "F-forget it! Your already inside so you can come in" She turned her head to Karma's direction and blushed even more for his face was already close to hers. Their faces were centimeters apart, Karma stared intently at her while she was already blushing madly.

He sighed "Eh~your blushing" he teased which caused her to smack him "That's because your too close!"

"P-pervert" she pushed him off the bed, into the floor "Your so mean my queen"

"You deserve it, rebel!" She pointed her index finger at him "But I thought I was your dog" he smirked, she blushed. Hid smirk grew wider "W-well" finding no words to say, she gave up "I surrender"

Karma laughed, Akane looked to see his face, her face got redder when she saw how angelic his face was, and his voice was like a melody which she loved so much, a song that she would love to hear every second she lived. He looked perfect in her eyes, his smile, his face, his personality they all looked beautiful in her eyes and it made her smile 'Ah, I'm in love'
