When the students woke up the next morning, they woke up in the same beds they had fell asleep in last night, when they hoped that being unknowingly flown to a remote island to compete in the Hunger Games with their piers had all been a dream. Unfortunately,it had not. They all woke up at six o clock to sirens and Mr. Green yelling into a blow horn "Wake up get up, it's training time!". At first the students woke up groggily and got changed. When they were done they went into the weapon training room and all stood there, still half asleep until Mr. Green came in a dumped buckets of ice water on each and every one of their heads. "I hope that woke you up since the sirens sure didn't," said Green. Now they all stood around the room, wet, shivering, and not really sure what to do. Then, finally, Gabby picked up a pocket knife from one of the bins. "Well if we're going to be in here for a while, we might as well get started," she said. The others agreed and they all gathered in their districts to devise a way to make instruments weapons. The violins and the clarinets secretly decided to form an alliance, but Eli grabbed a life raft and set off to sea to find the shark that ate his brother, and kill it. The others stayed behind, not wanting to risk getting caught leaving the building. Samantha chose a pocket knife as her one weapon, just like Gabby from the saxophone section. But unlike Gabby, she used it to sharpen the ends of reeds. "We can lace them with poison when the games start, I know of a selection of poisonous berries that must be somewhere on this island," said Samantha. The rest of the clarinet district agreed to this plan and all temporarily grabbed pocket knives and started sharpening the reeds as well. The rest of the districts were off trying to use the longer instruments as swords on the dummies. Abby and Livy sharpened a few reeds then used violin strings to fire them at the dummies. Their aim needed a bit of work. The clarinet and violin alliance worked until lunch on strategies to use the instruments as weapons. At lunch they were served what they usually got at school, except it was for free, that was one bright side on being on the island. They all ate and tried to make small talk to break the tension, but nothing could break thought the thought that soon, they would all have to try to kill each other. After lunch, Jack, Andrew, Tanner, Kevin, Joey, Alex, Gabby, and Samantha went to the second floor of the building where there was a gym. They all decided to work out for the rest of the day (except Tanner who nearly fainted after trying to pick up a five pound weight, and Joey who nearly drowned in his own sweat after attempting to do a pull up). "So this sounds like it's gonna be brutal guys," says Andrew. "Yeah," said Jack. Gabby starts pretending to cry. "If you guys don't make it, always remember that I have always hated you," she said through fake sobs. The boys rolled their eyes. Meanwhile the viola section was deciding what one standard weapon they each were going to use. "I think I'm gonna choose a pocket knife, it'll come in handy," said Lilly. "I'm going for the hatchet," says Jack. "I can't decide," said Sabrina with a sigh. "I'll be back, guys," she said. "Where you going?" asked Lilly. "Bathroom," Sabrina lied. She was actually going to find her friends. She found them on the obstacle floor, all running around cones, and jumping over hurtles. Livy, of course jumped one hurtle then was lying on the ground, panting. Sabrina offered up her hand. "You all right there?" she asked. "Fine, I just might die from too much physical activity before anyone has the chance to kill me," Livy told her with a chuckle. "You'll be fine," said Sabrina as she patted Livy on the back then walked over to Hannah and Abby."I can't believe I'm gonna have to kill you guys," she said to them. "Not if we kill you first," said Hannah. "Or someone else kills us first," said Abby. "Or someone else kills me first," said Sabrina. "I have an idea, why don't you just join the violins, it's basically the same thing as a viola,' said Abby. "Join us Sabrina," said Hannah. "Join the dark side, we have cookies," Abby growled. They all burst into laughter. "Wow that's the first time I've laughed since we've been here bruh," said Sabrina. "I know right, this place is really depressing," said Hannah. "Earlier Livy was complaining about the orange on her training suit," said Abby. "I love the orange," said Hannah. "You would Hannah, you would," said Sabrina. "RICHARD LOOKS CONFUSED!" shouted Abby. Livy came over to them. "SHE DOES?" Livy shouted back. "YES THAT'S WHY SHE IS A RETARD!" shouted Sabrina. At this point they were all three rolling on the ground dying laughing. Others in the building however, were not having as good of a time. Most of the boys were down in the weapon room, and Andrew was treating the rest of them like they were at boot camp. "GRAB THE BOW AND ARROWS BOYS CHOP CHOP, LETS GO!" he barked at all of them. None of them were keen to argue so the all hurriedly obeyed orders. "NOW SHOOT THESE DUMMIES IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR CHEST AND DO NOT STOP UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETE ACCURACY FIVE TIMES IN A ROW!" he shouted. They all did as they were told. Andrew himself grabbed a bow and arrow and joined them. Rachel, who happened to be wandering around, bored, saw them. Being quite talented at shooting arrows, she joined them as well just for fun. Madison was in the main room, paralyzed by nearly getting hit with a sharpened reed. The dinner bell was rung and this meal was just as the last except Sabrina, Abby, Hannah, Brookelynn, Livy, Rachel, and Olivia were much more talkative, as they were getting better at ignoring the fact that they would all have to kill each other. Until it was lights out the whole band and orchestra crew laid back, told ghost stories and bonded with one another. Then they all went to bed (Mr. Green's orders) and at least, attempted to sleep (what with being trapped in a building onn a remote island and all).
