The Attack

It was Olivia and Livy's turn to be on watch for attacking tributes. It seemed to be the middle of the night, though none of them could tell the exact time. The two girls were armed with poison reed darts, their clarinets, a pocket knife, and a rifle gun. Olivia heats the crunching of leaves in the distance.
"They're here," she says to Livy. They both look in the direction that the sound came from. Livy can see the glistening of a Tenner Saxophone.
"Yep, it's definitely Andrew and his crew. Use your mini binoculars to see who's with them," Livy says to Olivia. Olivia pulls the binoculars up to her face.
"It looks like he's with three other people, though I can only make out the face of Jack Lancaster, the two others are definitely male though" she reports.
"They're probably Tanner and Kevin. I'll go warn the others," says Livy. Olivia nods then Livy disappears into the tent and is out with Gabby and Rachel in a matter of minutes. They hear others approaching from behind. They all turn around and hold up their weapons ready to attack. Abby Hannah L. and Sabrina all move towards them cautiously with their hands up in surrender.
"We come in peace, we are here to request an alliance," says Abby. The four girls retreat and accept the request. Olivia informs the newcomers on the situation and all seven girls ready their weapons And stand side by side. A sharpened reed flies by Sabrina's head and she gasps. They all run towards the three boys and a nighttime battle erupts. Tanner attempts to whack Livy with his Baritone but Gabby stand him in the neck with her pocket knife before he prevails. Tanner falls to the ground, dead. The cannon sounded. Livy nodded a thank you to Gabby then proceeded to help Olivia take down Andrew. Jack looks over at Tanners dead body.
"RETREAT! MAN DOWN!" Jack yelled and then the three remaining boys retreated back into the woods, carrying they're friend's corpse with them.
"I'd count that as a victory ladies, nice job!" says Rachel. All of the field five each other high fives.
"I agree, but did we really have to kill Tanner? I mean he was Jack's friend," said Hannah.
"Although that might be true Hannah, if you want to be in this, you have to show no remorse. Otherwise, it gives the rest of them the advantage, and you're as good as dead," says Livy.
"I guess you're right..." says Hannah.
"Alright, Rachel, Abby, you guys are on guard duty, everyone else, let's get some rest," says Olivia. The rest of them nod in agreement then crawl under the tarp made out of giant tree leaves and attempt to fall asleep. All except for Rachel and Abby of course who sat outside and repeatedly scanned the area.

"Tonight, we lost one of our own. But Tanner will be remembered. And avenged! Who's with me?" asked Andrew with feeling.
"WE ARE!" shouted Kevin and Jack.
"Now are main target is Gabby since she killed both Tanner and Alex, but the death of any of her friends who stand in our way are necessary sacrifices," says Andrew. The other two boys nod in agreement.
"And although this night's attack was a fail, I can assure you, my men that our next one WILL BE A VICTORY!" exclaimed Andrew. The other two boys cheered and then they all went to bed.

The Next Morning...
Samantha, Ava, Shelby and Allison had been lucky enough not to have any attackers so far. Now it was time to venture farther into the woods to find allies. They find Karley and Maria ordering Heather around to find food and build a shelter. They help Heather to sneak away.
"Why were you listening to them?" asks Allison.
"They threatened to kill me if I didn't do what they said," answers Heather. Shelby comforts her.
"Come on, you can stay with us," says Samantha.
The girls go on through the woods battling off a wild animal every now and then.
"Wait, did you guys hear that?" asks Shelby.
"Yeah, I hear voices," says Samantha. They push through some trees to find Hannah Jailyn and Brookelynn attempting to start a fire.
"Ugh this stupid morning dew crap is making it impossible to start a fire!" Jailyn huffed.
"Yeah and I'm freezing! Not to mention it looks like the sky is about to pour down on us in like two seconds! " says Brookelynn.
"Brookelynn. We are in a rain forest! Chances are it's gonna rain, " says Jailyn.
"Whatever," says Brookelynn. Heather steps on a stick and it makes a loud cracking noise. The three other girls turn to see the whole group standing there staring at them.
"Um, were you guys watching us? " asks Hannah.
"What? No, that would be creepy! " Ava says unsurely.
"Okay then.. " says Jailyn.
"I think we better get going. Maybe try to find the rest of the clarinet section?" says Hannah. The other two nod in agreement and Samantha's group decode to excuse themselves and continue their journey through the woods with caution seeing as the cannon went off twice the previous day. Jailyn, Brookelynn, and Hannah find Joey on the forest floor whimpering about a raccoon.
"Get up," says Brookelynn as he yanks him up to a standing position. She then slaps him. "Snap out of it crazy pants!" the three girls then continue, dragging Joey along the way. Hannah steps on something that feels weird
She pushes a plant aside to uncover a dead Tanner. They all shriek.
"Well at least we know Livy and Olivia were here, so they can't be much farther, " says Jailyn. They all listen very closely. They can here laughing in the distance. They all hurry towards the direction of the sound and see Livy, Olivia, Gabby, Rachel, Abby. Sabrina's, and Hannah all seated around a fire.
"How did you guys get a fire started with all this...well.. "
"Moistness? " Abby and Sabrina's say in unison.
"Sure.. " says Jailyn.
"We just kept the fire burning from last night. How have you guys been? Killed anyone yet? " asks Livy.
"No but we did find this buffoon, " Says Brookelynn as she pulls a slimy, blank faced Joey up for them to see.
"We also discovered Tanners body in the woods. Your doings I suppose?" asks Jailyn.
"Yep, I also killed Alex! " Gabby says with pride.
"Interesting, " says Hannah.
"Well you guys are welcome to stay with us, since we have a fire and all, " says Abby. The three girls and Joey take the offer and warm up by the fire with the rest.
