"Kate, it's time for dinner."
Kate ran downstairs she was starving. After what she had been through that day, she was ready for her dinner. Kate and her family settled at their table and started to eat. After they were done, Kate was told to go finish her homework. She headed up to her room.
Kate was doing her math. She had around ten more problems left when she heard something.
"Kate, come here!" It sounded like her little brother. She went to go look for him. He was playing with his toy trains in his room.
"Wow Kate! That was a cool trick!"
"What?!?"
"The trick you just did."
"What did I do?"
"You were calling me when you were inside my closet. But when I looked in it, you weren't there."
"I didn't do that. You called me."
"No I didn't."

Kate thought it was the ghost. She tried to make Ryan think nothing happened but she knew something was wrong. After she finished her homework, it was time for bed. She changed into her pajamas and got in bed. Kate's mom and dad came in to tuck her in and turn her lights out. Once her dad turned her lights out she felt a chill run down her spine. Kate knew it was gonna be a hard night. She soon drifted off to sleep.

Around 10:00 PM her mom appeared at her door.
"Kate? Are you awake?"
"I am now." Kate struggled to push out the words. She was afraid it wasn't her mom.
"Do you know where Wally is? I have been up all night trying to get Ryan to go to bed. He refuses to go to bed without Wally."
"I have no idea where he is."
"Okay. Sorry to wake you."

Kate lay there thinking about Wally. She wondered where he was.
"Did someone take him? Was it the ghost? Why would the ghost take Wally? Is the ghost gonna give Wally back? When will Wally be back..."
Kate drifted off to sleep.

The next morning was Saturday. Kate woke up in fear of the ghost. She looked at the end of her bed to find something horrifying. Wally was sitting up staring straight at her. Kate screamed in fear. She ran out of her room and ran downstairs. She looked for her parents and her brother, but they were gone. There was another note on the fridge the read:

Kate-
We took Ryan to the park. We will be back at 3:00. We were gonna tell you, but we didn't want to wake you.

-Mom and Dad

Suddenly she heard a noise upstairs. It sounded like someone was moving from her room to Ryan's room. Kate became frightened. She knew she had to obey her mom's punishment. She heard the noise again. She knew what she had to do. She had to end this.
