I jolted awake and heard another bang of something hitting the floor, along with the grouchy voice of Molly's dad. (I had forgotten all about the dream).

'What a wonderful morning!' I thought sarcastically before leaping down from my perch on my kitty tower to the floor. I looked over at the big rabbit cage. I didn't see the familiar black and white pelt of Roxie or the gray and white pelts of Snow and Satin, Molly's new bunnies.

'Odd, they don't appear to be in their big, comfortable box either', I thought. Molly probably took them out of their pen to play with them somewhere.

"Good morning Nike!" Spottedleaf greeted me as I lumbered over to the cat dish.

"Morning Spottedleaf," I paused and frowned looking at the empty cat dish;" Hey there's no food in the bowl!"

Spottedleaf stopped grooming her underbelly and looked up. "Yeah so what's your point?" She sighed.

"Uh, well it would be um... nice to oh well, eat."

Spottedleaf narrowed her eyes and got ready to scold me. Just then Max trotted into the room.

"Nike! You're awake! Something's going on, I'm not sure what-"Max broke off talking for a moment before he continued," Well, Molly and her parents seem really into whatever they're doing and blah, blah, blah..."

I perked my ears up in interest to hear what they were doing in the other room. He went on and on. I didn't interrupt him; I just let him blab his head off.

"Max! " Spottedleaf groaned and turned to me," Come on, I'll show you what he means." She strolled out of the room, Max and I following.

"Jeez." I muttered under my breath.

Max was right, something was going on. Suitcases, backpacks, and one lonely white box were piled at the door, along with Max and Sadie's bagged dog food, treats, blankets, leashes, and toys. I didn't look closely enough at the pile to notice that it wasn't just human and dog stuff that lay there.

"Whelp, looks you canines' are going to the VET! Dun, dun, dun..." I snickered playfully. Max rolled his eyes. Molly and her parents only packed up the pets' belongings to go to a trip to horrorland (A.K.A the vet). It also looked as if the humans were going on some sort of vacation as well.

"Heh, Nike guess what? Take a closer look." Max quipped, "We're all going!"

I looked closer and saw the bunny and cat things (ex. hay, pellets, toys, treats, blankets, cat food) piled by –'ugh carriers' I groaned inwardly. I must have been blind not to notice these plastic jails first. I mean really, if it'd been a snake it would have bitten me already.

Spottedleaf said nothing and wandered into the kitchen.

"I can admit to myself that I was wrong but I'll never admit it to you!" I smirked at Max and bolted after Spottedleaf.

Then whoosh! Molly's dad picked me up in a blink of an eye. He kept a firm grip on me as he walked over to the grey carriers. Oh No. - Hey wait a minute! Let's be difficult for dad and get yelled at. Oh yes, that will be much fun. I thought excitedly.

"Alright in you go." Dad opened one of the ugly carriers and tried to push me inside.

'I say, I say, No way hosay!' I thought wildly as I unsheathed my mighty sharp claws. I began wiggling back and forth, clawing and kicking at Dad's arms.

He dropped me and I took the opportunity to run for cover at the drop of a hat. Bahaha! Can't catch me now! I grinned. Except he did.

"Oh no you don't!" Dad snatched me up and shoved me into the kennel before I could even hide. Darn.

Spottedleaf, Roxie, Satin, and Snow were locked in carriers too. The dogs however were on leashes, lucky them. Molly set our carriers outside in the sun. I been outside before, but I've never felt this type of heat before. My fur got really hot and sticky.

Molly went back in the house and walked out with Max and Sadie. She tied them to the rain gauge post and walked off to help her parents load up the silver car. Once they were done doing that, Molly's dad started to poke at the tires of the car.

"Hmm, what the heck is he doing? What's he doing to Sliverhare?! Humans, the weirdest creatures on earth!" Sadie mumbled to herself.

"Maybe he wants to make sure that Silverhare is ready to travel," Max suggested.

'Silverhare' is what the dogs call the sparkly, silver/grey car, because it's silvery and fast like a hare. Common sense really. Once Dad was done with that, he lifted the hood of the car and pulled out a tube with oily black stuff on it. I didn't get a chance to observe what exactly he was doing though. Molly and her Mom picked up our carriers and packed them in Silverhare.

It seemed like we were ready to rock and roll. But suddenly Molly rushed back in the house shouting," I forgot something! Don't leave without me!"

She was always forgetting something. When Molly returned, Dad started up the car and off we went. To where, I had no clue.

"Psst! Nike!" Satin whispered through the wired cage door of her kennel," Got any idea on where we are going?"

"Eh, not a clue. But I have a theory on where, last time the Meyers put us in these carriers they took us to the vet," I informed her, stretching out the word carriers and vet.

"Nike, when will you stop hating vets and carriers? I mean I don't like the carrier or vet but it isn't that bad," Spottedleaf reasoned.

"When the cows are dancing on the ice," I replied feeling proud at my remark.

"What's a vet?" Satin and Snow butted in ignoring my conversation with Spottedleaf.

"A vet is a bad place where they poke you with needles and-" I stopped, I didn't want to scare them. "But, uh the humans brought traveling bags, so uh we're probably going on a vacation. Hopefully nothing bad will happen. "

Roxie, who was dozing, lifted her head, "Snow, Satin quit pestering Nike with questions. Apparently we have a long car ride, so take a nap you two!"

The twins snuggled close to Roxie. The black and white bunny is pretty much Snow and Satin's foster mother. They bonded as soon as they met. I turned to Spottedleaf and asked her what her thoughts were on where we are going. She thought that we were getting dropped off (or boarded) at a hotel or something of that sort.

But my thoughts were different. Then we both got stinky about it and started arguing.

"I think we're going with Molly!" I protested.

"No, why would she bring pets on a family vacation?!" Spottedleaf shot back.

"See, it's a family vacation and we are family!" I growled," We are going with!"

"No, we're NOT!" She exclaimed

"YES, we are!" I hissed back.

"NO!"

"YES!"

"NO!"

"YES!"

"Both of you SHUT-UP!" Roxie thumped her long rabbit foot against the carrier, causing it to fall off of the car seat. Roxie, Snow, and Satin landed hard on the floor of the car.
