I woke up again feeling warm and comfy. I had no idea what time it was, all I could tell was it was still dark outside. I sat up and stretched wildly, before I realized I was alone in the room. I frowned, knowing I was still in the same room as before, but Skandar wasn't there anymore. I decided to looked around the best I could in the dark and got out of the nice warm bed. I walked across the cold floor over to the door and peaked out into an elegant hall decorated in stone and tapestries hanging on the walls. There were tall windows that looked out at some water and forests that went on forever. I then realized it would be best if I put on something other than a night gown that's barely covering me.

I went back into the room and took a deep breath. I looked aorund the room that suddenly seemed bigger than it did before and tried to find a place where clothes could be kept.

I looked in a wardrobe and found it full of men's clothes. Well this isn't very helpful...I thought as I shut it again. I was startled suddenly by someone tapping on my shoulder. I gasped and turned aound to find a tall young girl looking at me holding a candle in one hand and a dress in the other. She was just standing there looking at me.

"I brought you something to wear," she said, "The king said you'd want it." I nodded, unsure of what that meant. She lit up some more candles and when the room was lit up she helped me put on the dress. As I twirled around and studied myself in the mirror. The dress was long and it went to the floor. It was dark green and it had a silver sash around the waist. I also took notice on how I look different. I now had dark red hair, not freckles, and green eyes. I was also extremely tall. It was very disturbing that I looked different and that I didn't know where I was. I ran my fingers through my new hair and sighed. This was so weird.

I decided to have a look around now. I left the room and walked down the long hallway. After a while I realized I was in a castle, or something of that sort, and I also found I was lost. I knew it was getting late because I was hungry and I knew I was lost because I was in a place I've never been before and I hadn't seen people since that morning.

I groaned and once again turned a wrong corner. I leaned against the wall and sank onto the floor. I found myself wanting to cry. I was lost and there was no way anyone was going to find me now. I put my hands over my face and felt the ters starting to flow. This mew me is very sensitive. I rarely ever cried before now. I was seriously sobbing. That is until I was picked up, then I was screaming.

"Shh!" whoever it was carrying me off said, "Amelia calm down! It's just me!" he said trying to keep from dropping me. I was struggling to get free and I found myself suddnely in the floor with my arm hurting. I looked up at the person who grabbed me and saw Skandar. He had knelt down next to me and he was exaiming my arm.

"Why were you crying?" he asked gently as he helped me up. I blushed suddenly and shook my head as he wrapped his arm around my waist and led me down the hall with him, "Anyway, Lucy's been worried about you. She said you were supposed to meet her for lunch in the garden, but you didn't show up."

"Lucy?" I asked rubbing the sore spot on my arm that was becoming bruised. Skandar looked at me and frowned.

"Yes, Lucy," he said, "Are you sure you're alright? You were acting strange last night too."

"No, I'm fine I just-" What was I saying? "No! I'm not fine!"I wrentched myself away from him and stopped walking, "I don't know who you are! I don't know where I am! I don't even know who I am anymore!"

"Amelia, lower your voice, please." Skandar said putting a reassuring hand on my shoulder, "Calm down some." I looked at him and suddenly bursted in to a new set of tears. Skandar looked at me blankly befor ehe pulled me into a tight hug. I stopped crying because was so surprised my it. When he pulled back he wiped my tears away and he kissed the tip of my nose.

"It's OK, Amelia." he said gently. I was swallowed suddenly by his brown eyes and I couldn't move or say anything to him. He tucked my red hair behind mt ear and he gave me a serious look, "You look tired, come on. We'll get you to bed and I'll make sure Lucy knows what happened so she doesn't worry."

"Actually, Skandar," I said as he pulled me down the hall back toward the room I woke up in. He stopped and looked at me frowning, "Can I have something to eat. I've been a bit lost and I haven't eaten all day."

"I'll get you some food," he said taking my hand gently in his, "But you have to quit calling Me Skandar. I'm Edmund. Sheesh, Amelia, I've known you for years." I didn't respond to that because he started dragging me down the hall again. I hoped this food tasted good.
