Chapter 3:

Sadly, people still have to go to school on their birthday...

I sighed in happiness as I reached the bus stop, my best friend Harmony was already there, sitting on the curb. I leaned down and sat beside her, nudging the bubbly, blonde with my elbow. She spun around to face me, shooting her blue eyes in my direction.

"Nice to see you too." I giggled.

"I'm not in the mood today April." she said, fists clenched into balls.

"What is it?" I asked

"Brad broke up with me. He said he needed some space. I was fine with that until I saw him sucking face with Samantha!" she replied coldly.

"It's his loss. Samantha literally has the attention span of a gold fish." I said, referring to our schools 'it' girl.

"I guess you're right. I'll get over it." she mumbled.I nodded.

"On happier terms, Happy sixteenth birthday!" she shrieked. I gave her a hug,

"Thanks."

"Come on," she grabbed my arm, "the bus is here."

We climbed onto the bus, finding a seat at the back. Once we were comfortable, we began to discuss plans for my party tonight.

"Okay, well I'm thinking Truth or Dare. What better way to get the party started?" winked Harmony.

"Yeah, I like that idea too. We can definitely have some fun with it." I agreed

"This is going to be the best party ever!" cheered Stacy.

Little did we know, it would end up being anything but.
