Not Edited. (Cassidy to the side)
All my life, I felt the urge to always do right by my parents. I was an only child and what good would that be if I didn't do them proud at all.
Even though my parents want a divorce, proving my assumptions about love to be right, I still have that urge.
Dad hasn't been staying with us since, however I noticed a change in mom's behavior. She always made breakfast and dinner, and if she couldn't be home at dinner last time, she made food in advance so I could eat at dinner time.
Mom rarely ever cooked dinner before, do the fact that she was always working. She doesn't work as much and when she does it's usually a short shift.
"Okay, there is breakfast made in the kitchen. I'll be home by four o'clock, four thirty at the latest." She pecked my forehead and gathered her belongings as she made her way out.
I made little effort to say goodbye. So caught in my thoughts, I walked into the kitchen.
"Cassidy?" A voice called out. I looked up from the counter as the girls walked through the arch way into the kitchen.
"Hey, what're you guys doing here?" I asked. Nina shrugged, "Your mom told us to come over to keep you company." She said before adding jokingly, "I don't know why, I mean we don't even like you."
I glared playfully and threw a blueberry at her. "You're so funny Nina." She swung her arm over my shoulder. "So, honey, what are you feeding me this morning?"
"I'm not feeding you shit, help yourself." Esme and Hayley laughed as Nina stared at me with amusement.
"Well, well, where did our little Cassidy go? Drew corrupted her, we have to get her back." I stared dumbfounded at her.
I scoffed, "Yeah? Don't make me tell Drew to call Liam over." I threatened. Nina's smile dropped, "That is a hurtful game you're playing Cassidy."
"You know you want him to come over. You're just begging for Cassidy to call Drew." Hayley spoke dramatically and popped a cut strawberry in her mouth.
"What is this? Pick on Nina day?" Esme scoffed. "Don't be dramatic, it doesn't suit you babe." I laughed and continued putting cut fruit into a bowl. "So, are you really gonna call Drew?" Nina asked.
"If you want me to, I will." The three girls exchanged glances. "We haven't really met them yet, so I guess you can call them." Hayley suggested.
"Okay, let me go call them. And Nina don't touch my food or a little somebody is going to know about a little situation." She rolled her eyes and shooed me away.
I went to my room and grabbed my phone off of its charger. I went to Drew's contact and pressed call. "What do you want, I'm sleeping."
"Hello to you too, , Lawson." I laughed into the phone. "Cassidy?" There was a minute of what sounded like Drew moving around.
"What's up? In need of another make out session. Damn I knew I should have bet Dustin." He muttered.
"What? No, the girls are at my house and they wanted me to invite you and your hooligans." I explained.
"The blonde squad all in one place? I'm invited with the boys." He whispered more to himself.
"Are you coming or not, Romeo." He chuckled. "Yeah, I'll round up the boys and head over there."
"Wait, you don't know where I live." I said confused. "Yes I do." He said as though it was obvious.
"How?" I asked. "That's for me to know Kitten." I groaned. I didn't miss that ugly ass nickname.
