New-Blood or Old friend

"Ugh....ow...what hit me?" I say as I feel my head. Kevin replies, "Well looks like someone's awake." "Oh my god....what happened?" I lift up to the feeling of pain in my back, lower sides and in my legs not only that they itch like crazy! "That Haunter you fought had a trick up his sleeve, those spikes he shot into you were highly toxic, but we got the remedy from your infected blood", Kevin explains to me." Perhaps we used to much blood?" I try to get up from my bed and face plant on the floor. "You think!" Kevin helps me to my feet at gives me crutches to stand on. "Slow down dude or you will be in even worse pain", Kevin reminds.

We leave my room and head down to (The Hall) where we go to eat what whatever we want to eat. You know how some restaurants, fast-food place, or other place that serve food sometimes mix up orders. Well that is our doing to we take the food of choice and let the people figure out what happened its cruel, but rather have to lose some French-fries and a burger ,then lose all of New Mexico to chupacabra. The hall is filled with the teenagers and adults from earlier Patrick were sitting with his friends, and Matt was showing his buddies the AK-47 with the chainsaw beneath the pump-action. I imagined everyone would be like this not concerned about me almost dying cause we are demons our healing factor allows us to endure serious damage life threatening for humans is like pulling a thorn from your thumb for a demon. Unfortunately this is normal so I ignore it and we move towards the plate and ask for some pizza from Pizza-Hut and head for our seats in the crowd of people.

We sit down and began talking about the fight Kevin tells of his teleporting powers and how he sliced it in half with his speed. I tell him how I went into rage mode and beat the heck out of the demon before I slashed head off. At first we start talking about battle strategy then someone calls from the entrance, "Excuse me". I turned to see it was Emily looking around with like twenty people minus me; looking straight at her and she asks, "Does anyone know where Jake is?" Soon enough all of them point to me ever Kevin points his finger near my arm. In a way in a regular situation I would have shouted a bad word to meet the emotion I felt but instead I just sat there and turned my face away hoping she wouldn't recognize me. At that moment I should have teleported out of there but, at my state I would probably not get very far. Once she hand spotted me she darted through the tables like a snake in the grass.

With a smile she said," Hey I wanted to thank you for saving me but, you were hurt pretty bad and then when I went to get you some lunch you had already left so I ran to see you and..." Before she could continue I shove a French frie in her mouth. I give her a stern look and respond," Yeah, don't mention it, and can you wait till I'm done eating to lecture." She stare at me a bit, then eat the frie from my hand. Her face turned a shade of rosy red and she backed away.

Once I was finished I got up and said," Just next time don't just stand there waiting to get skyward." She looks at me a little abashed from mentioning what happened, but it shouldn't matter since no one real got hurt and the mission. "The mission..., I said with a whisper. Kevin what happened to the person we were suppose to get?" He looks at me confused and looks back at Emily then says," Well she's right in front of you." I look at Emily in shock. this is the girl with the energy surge that cause for those monsters to show up? Without realizing it I had shouted," What?!!"
