Matadors in Manhattan

Kevin and I stand in the main office for the next mission update at which I'm off the crutches by now. There was high energy spike in Manhattan, New York city and suspicious characters in black hoods roaming around one area specifically. We pear over the map where the red dot is and it labels Charging Bull. I look back at Kevin with a confused look and respond,"Isn't that a statue or something."

Kevin looks back at me and says,"Its like a bronze bull it symbolizes the strength of the American people."He puts in the location on his phone and we start to move out but, the informer stops us and says we have two extras to our mission.Then through the swaying doors walks in Emily and Kate. "You have got to be kidding me. Kate I understand why she would be here cause she is good with manipulating energy like dark demon energy. Emily she has only been here for about 18 maybe 20 hours she hasn't even gotten any training."

The Informer interrupts by saying,"Actually Ms.Emily is a black belt in karate and has mastered the accuracy of knife throwing and sword combat." I look at Emily in a bit of shock and she shrugs at me and turns to walk away Kate looks at me in disgust and follows after her. Kevin looks at me and responds,"Well looks like she can take care of herself after all." I look at him and shake my head in disagreement as we walk after the two girls.

The sky is full of dark storm clouds and the rain covers everything in sight. We sit on a bench with a umbrella attached to it but, even that just keep the rain barely off and my rain coat isn't doing me any favors. Kevin being the smart one brought his umbrella without tell anyone squat and he shares with Kate. Emily sits across the bench away from me still in a bad mood for my out burst earlier and she refuse to talk to me till i apologies. I shrug at the gloominess and drop my head letting it dangle from my neck. Emily looks at me then looks away showing no opening to apologies anytime soon.

I look out to the city and there are few people out on the streets but still enough car for it to be normal. Its interesting they said that there were guys with black cloaks around the statue but, so far i don't see anyone in that description and the statues right behind us. Kevin sees a local convenient store he offers to buy some soda or a snack I respond,"Sounds good nothing else to do while we watch the rain poor down." Kate locks arms with him as they cross the street I know Kate had a crush on him but he was never really interested in girls and he is definitely not gay. After a few seconds I realized that he left me with Emily i felt like shouting out every bad word in the book but that wouldn't solve crap.

How I remember Emily she was a girl who I hung out with a lot. She was a Cheerful, fun, and liked to be with friends type of girl and she wouldn't let me get away with anything that devilish or pretty evil for me to do. I would get into real trouble i guess it was the demon in me but, she would pout and give me bad looks that just made me want to die. Emily was real spacial to me she was the one person i could go to for anything and the day I left she was the one thing i regret leaving.

"Listen... I know that you can take care of yourself and that i shouldn't have thought you were lesser then us so are we good now.." I say with as much honesty as I can. She turns and gives me a sorta unsatisfied look then responds,"Yeah i guess." Once that was out of the way look at me and asked," So how did you get into this whole demon thing?"
"Actually you are born a demon can't really explain how it's just we know that but, like other demon spawns we are practically invulnerable. The only thing that can hurt us are like special weapons forged with demon energy."

I was about to continue when I felt something heavy fall on my shoulders. It felt like a anvil was on my back pushing me down. This feeling made my heart race and fear crept into my head. With as much force I could make I turn to look at Emily and she was experiencing the sane but my worse she was hugging her chest and looked like she was having trouble breathing. This only happens when a demons energy is released and then force if the energy can effect demons and humans.
