Doctor's POV

Today was the day, today I was going to tell Clara Oswald I loved her. Even though she has a boyfriend and may never want to see me again I still wanted to confess my feelings. Landing the TARDIS next Wednesday I straightened my bow tie just seconds before she came running into the TARDIS.

"Doctor Doctor!" She exclaimed running in. Had she ever been this happy? He never remembered.

"Hello my impossible girl! I need to tell you something," I said to her and she had the biggest smile on her face.

"Well let me tell you first, my news is important," she said practically bouncing up and down.

"Ok, calm down and tell me," I said laughing at her enthusiasm.

"Ok Ok, wooh, here we go," she said calming down. I observed her as she gained control. Her short brown hair bobbed up and down as she got excited and her chocolate brown eyes made me want to melt.

"Ok so um....DANNY PROPOSED! I'm getting married!" She exclaimed freaking out once more. That's when I froze.

"And more! I want you to be my man of honor! You're my best friend so I want you to be there for me as I walk down the aisle!" She exclaimed and I forced a smile. That's it! My dreams of being with her were crushed.

"Of course I will Clara, I'm so happy for you," I managed to choke out. I thought I was going to cry. I haven't cried since The Ponds.

"Oh thank you thank you thank you!" She exclaimed jumping up and down hugging me. I wrapped my arms around her as if I would never see her again. Tears began to fill my eyes and I had to blink them back.

"So where to today?" I asked her pulling back and trying to get my mind straight.

4 Months Later

Clara's POV

I stood in my white wedding gown at the alter with my hands in Danny's. Today was the day I would become Mrs. Clara Pink and I was so excited.

The Doctor stood behind me in his normal attire holding my roses. He looked different in the eyes, not his usual bright happy eyes with sadness and regret hidden behind, it was mostly sadness if yet all sadness today.

"Do you, Clara Oswald take Danny Pink to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Asked the preacher.

"I do," I said smiling widely.

"And do you Danny Pink take Clara Oswald to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do," said Danny with his famous smile.

"Well then, I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride," said The Preacher and Danny bent down and kissed me softly but passionately. Everyone clapped and cheered and I had tears in my eyes. I have never been so happy in my entire life. All because of one man.

Doctor's POV

I barely made it through the ceremony so I knew the reception would be terrible. After walking with Clara back down the aisle I took off towards the TARDIS as a quick escape. Entering and closing the doors I broke down. In anger and sadness.

"Why Danny! Why did she have to pick Danny!" I yelled slamming the console. Pulling my jacket off I throw it as hard as I could.

"Why couldn't she have chosen me! Why didn't I tell her!" I yelled slamming more things.

"Why Danny! Why oh why Danny!" I yelled through more sobs. No one has affected me this much since well, The Ponds.

I just sat in the TARDIS crying my eyes out until they hurt. Knowing Clara would look for me I left the box trying to look presentable as possible. Walking into the reception. It was time for the dances.

"Doctor, care to dance?" Clara asked me pulling me on the dance floor without letting me answer. She wrapped her arms around my neck and mine were around her waist. I wished it was our first dance as husband and wife rather than a dance with her best friend.

"Where have you been?" She asked smirking.

"TARDIS was going to implode, I fixed it though," I lied. She looked at me oddly probably seeing straight through my lie but she went with it.

"Oh ok, well dinner and cake is in a few minutes, you need to do a speech," she said and I nodded.

"Ok," I said.

The rest of the night was filled with laughs and heartbreak for me. That night I left the happy couple alone knowing what happens on wedding nights. Entering the TARDIS I slammed the door and flew her out to the middle of space.

I sat on the edge, my legs dangling off the edge of the TARDIS staring out into the vast universe. I looked down on earth which was right under me. I knew Clara was down there happy to start her new life with Danny.

Me?

I wish I was the one starting a new life with her.
