Chapter Five

Victoria...

"Who were you after Victoria?"Fulton asked again.

He still held the little Vampire in his grasp.

"Well at first you but only because I thought you were the one causing chaos and creating armies for some reason. Armies of vampires I had to kill in order to keep the human race going. I thought you were the one draining a human within five inches of their life leaving them to change without much pain."I explained

Fulton...

"Wow. Well I'm sorry if you believed that I guess my activities were somewhat suspicious like yours. But I thought we were after this little renegade."I said

Unknown...

"Hey I'm not a little renegade I'm not wanted by law nor on the run. I'm just after who ever changed me and killed my parents and ran away I'm just after justice. And I'm Misti Maria."I say elaborating

Victoria

"You've been creating armies of vampires, you've gotta be dealt with its the law." I say

"I was just trying to kill my thirst its awful sometimes. I honestly didn't know I was doing that truly."she said removing her hoodie which we just now realized.

"Your hoodies Blue?"we both question looking at her Fulton released her arm and we step back.

"Yeah I'm The Blue Firebird. Who you guys?"she asked

"I'm the Red Rebel he's the Green Blaze. We could allow you alliance and save the world together or we could assume your the one we were both after and figure out a proper sentence."I say

"I'm with you guys I could be the scout."she said

So we started a fire in the huge fireplace and made out our beds.

"I'll take first shift you rest."Fulton said

I didn't argue because I for some reason was tired. Still.

I woke around midnight.

"Hey you should be resting."he said looking at me.

"Bathroom."I said

"Down the hall here's a few candles."he said handing me the candle holder with six candles all lit.

"Thanks and where did you find these?"I asked

"The study just through that door."he said

I go to the bathroom I then come out five minutes later. Fulton is stoking the fire it gets brighter in the room.

I stick the candle holder down and go to get something out of my bag when something crashed.

I jumped up knocking into Fulton who grabbed me and held me to him.

Misti bolts up also and she is groggy but quickly wide awake.

"What was that?"she ask standing up.

She looked at us and laughed.

"Dunno but what's so funny?"Fulton asked.

"Well did I interrupt something?"she asked "Something important?"she added

"We were just talking then that sound hit I had to catch Victoria before she made another loud ruckus. And she even stepped on my toe."he said

"So she just sleeps in undies and a shirt?"she asked

"None of your business Misti now either go back to sleep or guard."Fulton remarked

I moved out of Fulton's arms and got into my sleeping bag and laid down.

I started shivering a few hours later.

Fulton....

Misti took guard after Victoria climbed into her sleeping bag and fell back to sleep.

Suddenly thunder shook the castle we laid in. Victoria woke with a scream I heard shuffling of a bag and I sit up and light a candle.

The fire is still going but Misti is dozing.

I get up and wake her.

"Get some sleep I'll take over."I say she sleepily crawled to her bag and got in.

I find Victoria clutching her bag.

"Come on out of the sleeping bag and pull out the extra blankets."I say

She climbed out and grabbed the blankets I unzipped her sleeping bag and did the same with mine. I zipped ours together and tossed two blankets together and inside the sleeping bag before zipping it up the rest of the way.

I then put it up by the fire place and got in leaning up against the wall.

She climbed in after me and curled up her dragon joined her.

She slept fitfully jumping in her sleep whenever a big thunder hit.

She wakes around 9:00 in the morning.

"We have a choice Victoria we could leave after breakfast or stay until the road has dried. Or make a home here and add a guest."I said

She laughed at me.

"Add a guest like we all pick a room and live here keeping an ear out for trouble or add a guest between the two of us?"she asked

I choked on my drink.

"Just to clarify I meant we stay here because winter is almost upon us and hire staff. Since its only the three of us."I said

"Unless you wanted to."I added.

"Not in my wildest dreams I wouldn't dare ruin my hunting skills like that."she said

"Then its settled?"Misti asked

Victoria...

"Whats settled?"we asked together

Then I look at Fulton.

"That we can stay after we catch our vampire. He's in the next county over and coming this way for some reason."I said.

"Well lets go before we lose the guy."I say.

Fulton goes into the other room.

I get up pulling my pants on.

Fulton is busy gathering the supplies in the other room.

"He does like you like a lot I can tell."I hear Misti say

"Yeah right we're just allies nothing between us Misti."I say

"Not from what I've seen yesterday and last night."she said

"Enlighten me then Misti, would you."I say packing my bag and rolling the sleeping bag up with the blankets inside.

"Hey you packed and ready we'll fly to the outskirts of town before dropping and walking in?"Fulton asked

"Yes but we could just fly into the town then get breakfast and find this vampire."I said

"I get it better to trek through puddles than mud right?"he asked

"Yeah precisely that way the dragons could easily fly away or explore maybe even shrink and walk beside us like pets."I say.

"But there's only a tinsy problem with this situation. 1 Two Dragons and 2 three people."Misti said

Fulton turns to me.

"Ride Draco with me he can handle the load he comes from a strong family. His bloodline is Hungarian Ridgeback.?"he asked me

"I will."Misti pipes up.
