Today I had to babysit my cousin who was 4 years old,and she was coming in an hour.
I made my way around the house searching for any messes or dangerous things that she could reach.
"Well screw you."I groaned as I saw a knife on the table.
Before I knew it the doorbell was going off and my aunt was standing behind it with Naya in her arms.
"Hey,Amber!"She smiles widely before wrapping her arms around me.
"Hi"I smile back and open the door widely."Come in?"I suggest.
She shake her head and smiles."I have to hurry,is anyone home?"She asks and looks around behind me.
I shake my head and take the toddlers bags in.
"Okay,well you know where to reach me,call me if you need anything."She smiles and hands me Naya.
"Will do"I smile and hold her against my chest.
She kisses Naya's head and gets in her car to leave to wherever she's going.
"Hi,Naya."I say in a baby voice,kissing her cheeks while doing so.
She giggles babyishly and kicks her arms around.
I smile at the toddler and hand her some of her toys.
An hour passes and she's rubbing around the house,and I am tired as fuck.
"Naya,no!"I shout as she slowly walks into the garage.
She giggles and stops before giving me a devilish grin.God,babies.
"I'm gonna get you"I shout and run after her after taking a breath.
She giggles as I pick her up and put the baby gate in the hall.
"I hungry"She says and chews on a Barbie.
I nod and place her on the floor of the kitchen before getting her prepared food from her mother.
After she eats I lay her down in her mobile crib and take my phone out of my pocket.
*10 New messages*it reads.
I become thankful for silencing my phone,it would've caused a distraction if I hadn't.
