Double the Trouble

Megatron watched impatiently as Shockwave prepared to introduce the Spark to the young sparkling that lay laughing and kicking on the table. He knew it was a delicate process, putting the permanent spark in a youngling, but giving one to a wriggling sparkling was definitely not going to be easy to do safely. One wrong move and it was all over. But Shockwave knew what he was doing; if this sparkling was to become a Decepticon, he was going to need a fast start.
Shockwave whispered quietly to the tiny robot, calming them as he gently lowered the Spark into the Sparkchamber, where it would either kill the young one, or transform it into whatever they were ment to be. The sparkling giggled as Shockwave prepared to secure the Spark in place.
"Here we go," Shockwave muttered as he turned it exactly ninety degrees to the left. Immediately the spark began to glow, and the sparkling, as it transformed its proto form into its 'true' form. However, long after out should have begun to diminish, it only got brighter and bigger, covering far more space than the little sparkling should have been able to.
"Shockwave, what is happening to it?" Megatron asked as he walked over to stand behind him as they watched the strangely glowing sparkling.
"I cannot be sure," Shockwave replied. "But I believe it is becoming a twin."
"A twin," Megatron repeated, thoughtful. This was certainly not the plan, but what could be done at this point? "Well, I suppose we'll just have to see which one is stronger."
"We won't to keep them both?" Shockwaves asked in surprise. Megatron smirked.
"We shall see."
Shockwave frowned and looked down at the twins still forming on the table, almost willing them to turn out even so he wouldn't have to destroy one and keep the other. The glow had now become two separate glowing shapes and was starting to dim at last. Just a few seconds remained before they would be able to see which was weaker and which was stronger. Finally the glow dissipated fully, revealing two nearly identical twins, still kicking and laughing, each feeding off the other's giggling voice. Shockwave smiled down at them, proud of his work, but was interrupted by Megatron.
"Well?" He asked in a rough voice. "Which is stronger?"
Shockwave sighed quietly as he scanned the twins. He read the readout and closed his eyes sadly.
