Bumblebee walked out of the base, frustrated.
"What could Ratchet possibly be doing on that dumb computer that's so important that he can't even take a day off or something?!" He muttered. "Or at least tell me what he's doing!"
After a few minutes of walking, he sighed and sat down on a large rock, pulling his knees up to his chest, and watched a couple jets race across the sky at high speeds.
"I wish I was a jet," he thought sadly. "Then I could fly away as fast as I want, whenever I want." One of the jets flew past the setting sun, reminding Bumblebee that it was getting close to his curfew, but he was mildly surprised to find he didn't care that it was getting late.
Not wanting to go back just yet, he instead hopped off the rock and started sort of wandering around, not paying much attention to where he was going. However, it wasn't long before he realized that not only had the sun gone down, causing the world around him to go very dark, but he was hopelessly lost, in a part of Cybertron he didn't recognize. Beginning to feel nervous about the prospect of being stuck out there all night, Bumblebee climbed up an old, crumbling pillar and onto the roof of a nearby building. In the middle of the roof he noticed a light pole and quickly made his way over to it, desperate for any sort of relief from the darkness that surrounded him. However, as he neared he realized that somebody was already there, leaning casually against the pole and looking out over the Sea of Rust.
He looked like he was around 16 or 17, with his jet black hair spiked up and a red streak in the front. He wore a jacket, which was a shiny silver, with streaks of red and blue across the front, and pants that were also silver, with a single stripe of red running down the side of the right leg. He was very tall, and Bumblebee noticed with a small smirk that it was partly due to the fact that he was wearing what looked like high heeled combat boots.
He noticed Bumblebee watching and turned to face him, his eyes a bright, firey red.
"Who're you supposed to be?" They asked in an accusing voice. Bumblebee swallowed hard, nervous of the stranger.
"B-bee," he stuttered, unable to spit out his full name.
"Bee? Huh, and what exactly are you doing here, little Bee?" The teen asked, sounding amused by his nervousness.
"I-i'm lost."
"Lost? From where?" He smirked. Bumblebee shifted his weight from one foot to the other and back.
"T-the base," he answered, a strange sense of foreboding starting to settle in his stomach. He felt like he needed to get away, go home! But he was lost, and maybe this guy would know the way back... "d-do you know how I can get back?"
"Do you always stutter like that?" The teen smirked. "Cuz it's kinda annoying."
"N-no," Bumblebee sighed, fighting back the sudden tears. "Sorry, I'm just scared."
"Of what?"
"Of you, of the dark, of being lost, of everything!" Bumblebee's voice cracked and he could feel the tears welling up in his optics. One spilled out and slid down his face, followed quickly by another and another. Before he knew it he was full on sobbing on the ground, so scared and hopeless he couldn't think straight. The teen smiled, but there was very little pity in it.
"Come here, kid," he said, motioning for Bumblebee to join him by the pole. Still crying, he got up and walked over, not knowing what else to do.
"I just wanna go home!" He hicouped.
The teen smirked and set his hand on Bumblebee's shoulder.
"Don't worry, kid," he said quietly, turning him to face roughly north. "You just go right on that way and you'll get there in no time."
"R-really?"
"Yeah, now how about I give you a head start!" The teen laughed evily as he gave Bumblebee a hard shove from behind, sending him stumbling forward and off the roof.
"Aaaaaaaaah-oof!" Bumblebee cried out as he fell, and then landed on a large slab of rock. "Ow! What was that for?!" He demanded as he stood and glared up at them. All he got for an answer, was a small shower of rocks and continued laughter from the teen up top.
Frightened, Bumblebee turned and ran as fast as his small feet would take him, away from the crazed teen.
