A Minor Mega Problem

Wasp drove back to the Nemesis quickly, knowing that he'd get in trouble with Megatron if he was gone too long. As he expected, Megatron was waiting for him on the bridge.

"Where have you been?" He demanded, causing Wasp to flinch ever so slightly. "Your team of Vehicons arrived nearly an hour ago, none of them sure what you were doing! I hope you have a good reason for disappearing like that."

"My apologies, Lord Megatron," Wasp started out formally. "But I ran into an Autobot on my way back. As for my team? The cowards ran off and left me to fight him on my own!"

"Did they now? And who was this Autobot you were so busy handling?" Megatron asked in a slightly mocking tone, crossing his arms in front of him and staring Wasp down.

"I can't be too sure, seeing as how thanks to Starscream I don't get to see a lot of action, but I'm pretty sure it was the yellow one...Bumblebee I think his name was. We didn't exactly stand around introducing ourselves," Wasp explained, easily twisting the truth backwards into a simple lie. Thanks to his being raised by the Decepticons, he had gotten very good at lying, comfortably and believably. Megatron raised an optic ridge, but said nothing to lead Wasp to think he disbelieved anything he had told him.

"Very well, but I remind you that you are supposed to alert me of any Autobot activity," Megatron reprimanded him. "And I shall have a talk with those Vehicons who were supposed to be with you." Before Wasp could say anything in the defense of those under his command, Megatron stalked off the bridge, in the direction of the Vehicon barracks.

"Oh dear..." Wasp muttered quietly, activating his comlink as he too exited the bridge. "Steve, you copy?"

"Yes sir," Steve replied.

"Megatron's got it in his twisted head that you guys left me to fight an Autobot by myself, and is about to give you guys a good 'talking to.'  You'll wanna get out of there, maybe get some Vehicons from a different squadron to stay in there instead. But you'd better hurry, he's on his way there now, and likely not too far off."

"Copy that, sir. I'll see what I can do," Steve saluted as he ended the transmission. Wasp let out a small sigh of relief, knowing that Steve would find a way to get the others out of there. He may be a Decepticon, but that sure as the Pits didn't mean he didn't care about his teammates.

With that more or less sorted out, Wasp made his way across the warship to where his own room was located, for a quick power down before his next scouting mission that night.

Wasp drove along the back roads of Jasper, looking for Autobot activity, or anything out of the ordinary, and stopped just in the shadow of a street light when he noticed movement ahead, about a hundred yards away. He could hear the faint hum of an engine, meaning it had to be a car of some sort, but the lack of headlights told him whoever it was out there didn't want to be noticed.

Which meant it had to be an Autobot.

Wasp smirked silently and waited for them to come closer, but the mystery bot most have noticed him too, because they stopped just 20 feet short of the street light. It was a standoff, both of them waiting for the other to make the first move, both knowing full well that the other was there.

Wasp continued to wait, wondering who it could be. He hadn't exactly met a lot of Autobots- Megatron had mostly just sent him on energon scouting missions, according to Starscream's suggestions. But, some how he felt he knew who this was... could it be that fabled connection of twin-sparks?

Realizing there was no point in waiting any longer, Wasp transformed, the Autobot quickly doing likewise, guns out and ready for anything.

"Whoa! Hey, calm down, man!" Wasp held up his hands. "It's just me!" The Autobot hesitated before slowly relaxing, slightly.
