Nandini's POV

I waited at the window the whole day, but Manik didn't appear again. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't talk to any random guy at a window, but Manik seemed ... different. He undoubtedly seemed to be super overconfident (evident by his smart 'like what you see?' Note) but something about him was very endearing. Also, the plus point- He was so gorgeous!! I went to bed disappointed.

Manik's POV

I wanted to interact with that cute girl again, but Dhruv had called me. He and Alya had been in a fight after they left my house last night and she apparently 'broke-up' with him. I needed to be there for my buddy and try to sort the issue, so I immediately left for his house. Nothing could ever matter more than my friends.

Dhruv Vedant had been my friend since I was just 5. He was shy and supportive, and the peace-maker of Fab 5. While I'm the lead guitarist providing the solo voice, he is the rhythm guitarist of the band. If any fight ever breaks between Fab 5, he's always the one to mediate and bring us back together. He has been in a relationship with Alya, our band's pianist for the past 2 years.

Alya Saxena was the social butterfly of our group. With good looks, confident attitude and a tasteful sense of style, it came to be a surprise that she had fallen in love with Dhruv, someone so different from herself. She played at the keyboard, and stayed with her brother Harshad alone in a huge bungalow, since their parents had died even before they were born. Yes, the same Harshad who slept with my mother. But, we knew Alya had no knowledge of it and she herself loathed her brother for his disgusting manners and attitude.

I reached Dhruv's house. His parents were out of town for a month, so he was alone at home. The front door was left open, so I let myself in. Dhruv sat forlornly at the window ledge staring at a photo of him and Alya together, his eyes all red and blood-shot. I shook my head and sighed - It was going to be a long day of patch up attempts and providing all the consolation and hope possible.
