"Please stop that annoying noise, ________!" Sherlock shouted at you. You kept your mouth shut, in fear of hiccuping again. Hiccups were rare for you, and they were like all hiccups, annoying, loud, and made short-tempered people like Sherlock want to kill you.

"Sherlock, be nice to your cousin!" Mrs Hudson called to Sherlock in the kitchen. You smiled to yourself. Mrs Hudson was always nice to you. It drove Sherlock crazy when she defended you over the small things like your hiccups.

Sherlock made a "hmmph"ing noise and went back to whatever he was doing. You hiccuped again, making him turn around and glare at you. Being the child you are, you stuck your tongue out at him.

The sound of the apartment door came up the stairs. "I'm back!" John shouted as he came up the stairs. You ran to him and hugged him, "Hey _______, long time no see," he smiled at you. You had been dropped off to stay at Sherlock's again while your parents went off on a holiday, which was a common occurence. It was fun staying at your cousin's place though, once you were even allowed to go with Sherlock to a crime. That, and Mrs Hudson made fantastic cookies for you.

"Hello John, now can you please take ______ out?" Sherlock told him absentmindedly, in his think ing mode.

"You're not -hic- getting -hic- rid of me, Sher -hic- lock!" You teased, your yells becoming funnier with every hiccup. You ended up laughing at how silly you sounded.

Sherlock didn't look impressed. You rolled your eyes, turning to go to the kitchen.

BANG!

You jumped as a bullet whistled past your ear, barely missing you and burying itself in the wall in front of you. You whirled around, stalking over to Sherlock, who was in the same position as before. "Why did you almost shoot me, Sherlock?" you yelled angrily at him, ready to pummel him into his seat.

He shrugged casually. "Bored. And it got rid of your hiccups."

You growled at him, going back into the kitchen and grabbing your Nutella, before stomping off to your room, sulking. "You shouldn't have done that, Sherlock!" Mrs Hudson yelled at him. You also heard a thump and Sherlock whining.

You smirked. Even if Sherlock was a jerk, Mrs Hudson and John would always be on your side.
