"Who are you?" He asked gruffly as you sat down, smiling gently at him.
"Give it a few seconds, Dean. My 'mojo' isn't as strong anymore, but you'll still recognise my Grace." You replied, keeping check of the tall man known as Sam.
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Never mind then. Think of me as your guardian angel, Dean Winchester."
"But Cas-"
"Is different. He has also been watching over you, but in a different way. Think of me like a sister, always there and ready to give advice." I explained to Dean.
"How come I can't remember you?"
"Because I make you forget, silly." You laughed, tapping your temple. "Company policy. If I want to tell you something, I have to make it seem like a realisation. Usually I create a case for you to go on a case that does it for you, but I'm low on Grace. And that means I have to do it the old-fashioned way. And I can't make you forget fully."
Dean frowned at you. "You didn't think I might not be okay with this?"
"Well duh. You tried to shoot me with that gun you made when I first came to talk to you when you were a kid."
"Does it happen often?"
"This is you we're talking about." You commented dryly, waving a waitress over. You quickly ordered some pie and coffee, turning back to Dean.
"So why are you here?" He asked curiously.
"Two things. One, why the fuck did you turn Castiel out?"
"Because Zeke told me t-"
"Dean Winchester, have you forgotten the fact that it's almost 2014? You need to make sure Castiel doesn't become the drugged up hippie that he's halfway to becoming. Because if you don't you can bet your naive little ass that I will tear you a new one."
"What's number two?"
"I talked to Ezekiel."
"So?"
"Two days ago. In Minnesota." I told him.
"So? There's another Eze-"
"That's the thing Dean. Humans may share names, but my Father named each one of us individually. There is only one _______, and that is me." I explained.
"Then who's in Sam?"
"Who else is known for tricking people into doing things, other than the Tricksters?"
"Are you saying that?" Dean didn't finish his question, knowing that you knew what he meant.
"That the angel in Sam may have come from the cage? Yeah." You replied, taking the pie from the waitress and thanking her as she poured you some coffee.
"So what's your plan?"
"I'm still - thankfully - strong enough to do some things, and it happens that my specialty other than being your older sister is tracking. Specifically hidden angels."
"You're going to bring Cas back?"
"I fought alongside him. He'll listen to me. But the moment I get that son of a bitch back, you're going to give him a hug, tell him you're sorry, and plot to get Lucifer the fuck out of Sam."
"You swear a lot."
You rolled your eyes. "Also if you're feeling like telling the truth you can tell Cas how you feel about him."
You are the last bite of your pie, standing up. "Good talk, Dean. I hope that we see each other in better circumstances."
And with that, you flew out of the diner, not making eye contact with the younger Winchester. You couldn't risk letting the archangel recognise you.
Just in the day of the life of someone watching over the Winchesters.
