Chapter 7: What's in Store for Us?!

We got on the plane just as the flight attendents were closing the gates but, when they saw us coming, they let us through and then we boarded the plane. When we got there, the man at the desk took us somewhere “special”. He got us in a boat and took us to a smaller island across the ocean that was still part of the resort. He told us that this was a special place for celebrities and if we ever wanted to go back to the main resort there’s a speed boat that we could use. When we got there, we saw that the island only had 1 house on it and the one house a medium size log house that looked like it only had 1 floor but, don’t get me wrong, it was REALLY nice! It had 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a huge kitchen with granite counter tops, a huge dining room, a huge sitting area, a library and a really nice ocean view in all the bedrooms, especially the 1st master bedroom. They had French Doors that led out to a long deck that wrapped around the house that had lounge chairs in the front and a view of a large thick forest on the sides. The back had a BBQ, a bigger set out lounge chairs and a haemic that hung between 2 trees on the deck. As I stood there staring at the water, Nathan came over and wrapped his arm around me and began kissing my neck.

Nathan: Why don’t you get ready, I’ll be waiting.

Me: Ok.

Nathan, went over to his bag and ripped off his shirt and grabbed his swim trunks. I went over to mine, grabbed my towel and bathing suit and went into the bathroom. I looked at the bath tub and began to run the water as hot as I could. I went back to my bag and I saw Nathan was already heading down to the water. I smiled as I watched him walk down. I grabbed my razor and bubble bath and went back into bathroom. As I bathed, images from today popped in my mind and I smiled as I watched the slideshow play through my mind. When I was done, I looked over at my bathing suit and threw it over my body. I threw my towel on the deck and walked down to join Nathan in the water. When I got there, I stood beside him and he smiled as he saw me approach him.

Nathan: Thank you.

Me: For what?!

Nathan: Being my wife.

Me: Why are you saying thank you for that?!

Nathan: When I was 17, I thought I’d never get someone to fall in love with me as much as you did, you changed my mind and I’m saying thank you for that!

Me: Oh well, you’re welcome. 

We kissed passionatly and then we picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. We went back up to the house and let's just say, had some adult fun! At the end of the week, we went back home and I found out that I was pregnant. I told Nathan after coming home from work one day and he was thrilled. The 9 month process was hard and Nathan and I did have our disagreements like every other couple on this planet but, it only made our relationship stronger. We had our first daughter named Georgia Elizabeth Sykes on April 17th 2014. 2 years later, I found out I was pregnant again. This 9 months was harder than the first and it was totally different. This time we had a boy that we named Parker James Sykes and he was born on November 15th 2016. Yes, Nathan and I had our rough patches in our marriage but, we only got stronger and fought through those rough times for our sake and our kids' sake. Now, I don't usually believe in fairy tales but, I can definately say that as a family, we lived happily ever after!
