There was a loud screech from Dragon as their knives clashed, the sound a great happiness to Josh, "Yes slave," He was yelling "KILL HER!" Kolten backed up, but instead of lunging at Vin again, he began hissing. "Ssso great to be the one to kill you..." He hissed, but his thoughts read survive for 30 more seconds. Vin held up her knife, hearing snakes hissing behind her, stomping on a few of them. 10 seconds... One of the snakes jumped onto her leg. 5 seconds... The snake slithered up to her eye, fangs dripping venom. 1 second...NOW! The demon fell over, and the snake, along with the others around them, instantly died. "Get...Amulet." She heard him mutter, Vin looked straight at Josh, who was frozen with shock, and sprinted toward him. "N-no...this thing should have worked." He said as she approached and ripped the amulet from his neck. She put the amulet around her own neck and heard a voice in a flash of light, "What can I do for you, Mistress?" It was Kolten, and he had changed again, his hoodie now purple, on the back of it the flames had changed to a soothing mix of light and dark purple. She looked in his eyes, which had now changed to a calming purple, "F-free Dragon" Vin commanded him "Yes ma'am!" He replied. As he flew up to the lock on Dragon's cage, she looked down at Josh on the floor, who was muttering to himself. Vin then noticed the amulet had now turned purple, but she couldn't look at it for long because Dragon had engulfed her in a hug. She hugged her back and looked at Kolten, who was tying up Josh, and he gave a thumbs up.
